So what do you guys do for exercise?

PastMember

Funny you should start talking about that.

Me, I walk a ton. I walk from work, I walk to the store, I walk to the mall, I walk walk walk walk every where.

Unfortunately it's not letting me lose the weight because of how my body is built, so I have to up the exercises to see the results.

This and that. I walk when I have time, and I'm signing up for a bicycle share program this summer so I can bike to work and not worry about my wheels getting stolen downtown. And I rock climb.

Jane

I take the cat for a walk morning and night.

How do you walk a cat? I tried doing that, and it was more like I was dragging them, so I had to carry them.

Dogs walk where their people go.

People walk where their cats would like to go, or stand still if the cat just wants to sit under this handy shrub and sniff the early evening air.

I take a book with me!

Of course, different cats react differently to leashes.  It helps if you get them used to it early on. :)

Sam's cool with his harness (wears it 14 hours a day) and great with his lead, he just knows who's boss.

And it ain't me.

Amanda N

Cats are always the boss, even on a leash!

I walk the hills in my neighborhood, walk the hilly college campus, and I exercise to The Firm.  I'm hoping to drop a couple pant sizes by July...we'll see how it goes  :)

I walk a lot, but I've also been going to gym past half a year or so. I'm actually having results, 4 cm off from my waist. Unfortunately, I also got few centimeters off from my breasts...

I just walk to work. If I want to lose weight I stop eating so much chocolate for a while. I figure that walking for an hour each day is probably enough exercise, especially combined with occasional running around in the woods hitting people with fake swords.

I'm better at saying "I'm going to start exercising" than actually doing it.

However, mostly I walk at work: up and down the hallways, sitting on the floor, getting back up, dancing with children. That and I use steps -- 3 flights to my apartment, something that had been lacking from my life while back in PA.

And as of yesterday I sort of walk to work: Park at the Metro station, walk in from the far parking lot to the train, up and down stairs, then two blocks to the building where I'm working, repeat the entire process to return home.

Well, I just went to the gym yesterday for the first time in over a month.  Ideally, I would go 3 times a week.  Practically the only machine I use there is the eliptical trainer.  It's great.  I turn on motivating music, get on the machine, and go.

Back in the states I shot hoops, played raquetball and did weight training.  Here in Japan I walk, go to the batting cage, and occassionally do weight training (I actually havent' been in the gym for a long time due to health issues.  I'm about ready to go back)  I also do stretching sometimes.
