Tracking Reqs Starting in Jan. - RANKERS TAKE NOTE!

Hello Triadians!

Another year is coming to an end. This year went by so fast, didn't it? The Council has been going through some LOAs/LIAs and reshuffling these past few months, so we haven't been keeping close track to rank requirements like we have in the past. But it is a new year and a time for a new beginning. We have decided, now that things seem to be settling down a bit, to start keeping track again starting in January. We want to give everyone fair warning so that you can start planning for the next month.

Rank at Triad has always been intended to be a privalige with some responsibilities attached to it. Each rank has certain monthly post requirements assigned to it:

Level 4 - 1 post (co-post or solo) per month
Level 3 - 1 post (co-post) per month <--- This is a slight change in policy so please take note L3s!
Level 2 - 2 posts (one of which MUST be a co-post)
Level 1 - 2 co-posts and 1 report

If you fail to meet these reqs there are consequences, the worst being losing that persona's status as a ranker. Here is how it works:

LEVEL 4 and LEVEL 3 PERSONAS:

If a member fails to post at least once for that persona in a month, the member will receive a warning. For two months they will not be allowed to apply for another ranking persona and they must make reqs during that period. If a second warning is issued during that time, the persona will lose its rank.   Three warnings in a twelve month period will also result in a loss of rank.

LEVEL 2 and LEVEL 1 PERSONAS:

For L1 and L2 personas its a bit more complicated. L1 and L2s are required to do CO-POSTS. If a co-post is not sent during the month, proof must be given to the Council that a co-post was at least started, and then a solo post may be accepted as a substitute.
If a L1 or L2 does not meet requirements (either in posting or reports), the writing member will be given a warning and will be placed on probation for 2 months. During that time if the member fails to meet reqs again, it will result in the probation period starting again. While the member is on probation they will not be allowed to create or adopt any new persona, and can only write NPCs for SL which involve their L1 or L2 persona. If they make reqs both months, they will be off probation. Receiving three warnings in a twelve month period will result in a loss of rank.

Of course provisions can be made for members who have substantial LOA/LIA during that month. If you are LOA/LIA and miss multiple months, the Council may see fit to step in and possibly give someone else a chance. This will be determined on a case by case basis. There is also a slight leanance given to Council members. This is not to show favoritism, but because Council members have a lot of their Triad co-posting time eaten by administrative duties which keep the club moving forward. Therefore Council members can be granted a waiver on reqs, but no more than twice in a six month period. If you have any questions or concerns about that you can address them (nicely please) to the Council.

If you are not sure you can make reqs every month for your L3 or L4 persona, we recommend you spend the marks to make them req-free. I'm sorry, but there are no req-free L1 or L2.

Anyway, please consider yourself warned! Please remember, these are not NEW requirements. These have always been the rules. We are just going to do a better job enforcing them. We will check reqs starting January and warnings will be issued to members who fail to meet them at the start of February. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please address them to the Council.
