If it's there, I'm missing it, but I've been checking the website and can't find any reference to show how to set up triadweyrs.org accounts in Outlook Express. I've had it set up for ages, but suddenly am getting "cannot connect to server" messages (only for my triad account) and have 9 messages stuck in my outbox.

I've been getting the same msg about not connecting to mail server.  I have the info and when I get home I'll forward the email to you. :) Thanks!

Thanks, Allison -- but forward it to mailto:vix94@dejazzd.com">vix94@dejazzd.com instead since now I've messed it up so that it won't receive either.

I'm not sure we have a FAQ about that, but it sounds useful.  Can you send me the info too and I can see if I can add it?

Bree

How long has it been going on for, Vix?

I im'd you yesterday morning when it started for me (the outgoing problem). Until then, I'd not tried to send Triad mail with my new ISP. However, there are no problems with my other email accounts.

Have you tried using mail.triadweyrs.org as your SMTP?

Just tried it -- didn't fix it.

I'm just starting to use the Triad server for sending triad mail and I've entered this (mail.triadweyrs.org) in the SMTP and it's not sending.  Is there something else I need to set up?  I'm using Thunderbird.

Jane

Okay, I got an email to leave the building using the Triad server, but I had to temporarily accept a security certificate (?) for a site with another name.  Is that the right thing to do?  Should I accept that permanently?

Bree

Errr, what site, Jane?  LOL  I'm not sure what that would be.

The info should be as follows:

Mail Server Username: USERNAME+triadweyrs.org
Incoming Mail Server: mail.triadweyrs.org
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) mail.triadweyrs.org
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.triadweyrs.org (server requires authentication) port 26
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) mail.triadweyrs.org (server requires authentication) port 465
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

I shut down Thunderbird over lunch time and since this is a new session, it prompted me again.  Here's the wording:

QuoteHowever, the security certificate presented belongs to "dime19.dizinc.com".

Bree

Aha! Oh, yes.  That's fine.  That's the name of my host.  :)

Jane

Good-oh.  I shall accept the security certificate permanently, then, and all will be fine.

Except there have been no coposts in my box since I started this project, and test emails do not replace coposts, in my opinion.

Thanks for your help, Bree.
