I've never read her, but now I'm curious, if only by the way everyone's talking! What would you recommend to start with?

Start at the beginning, I'd say. "Daughter of the Blood", "Heir to Shadows" and "Queen of Darkness" are the first three. :D

Yep. Definitely start with those three. The Invisible Ring and Dreams Made Flesh are both set in the same world, but they're much easier to understand with the basics that are established in that trilogy.

There's an omnibus edition, with all three books in one, if you can find it!
