Cali

The hawks were robbed, those refs were making horrible calls.

OMG! GREY'S ANATOMY WAS AWESOME!!!

(Hey, I had to watch the Postgame to actually get to Grey's Anatomy, so that TOTALLY belongs in this thread! :D)

I was unimpressed by grasp on the english language evidenced by the people speaking at the post game. :p Can we get them some workbooks?

Actually I missed the last three minutes of the game since I had to leave for work.  And yes Cali, I think the refs were making horrible calls.  That first touchdown that they called back was TOTALLY a touchdown.  But, who knows if it would have made a difference, really.  It might have swung the momentum in the Hawks favor.   Still the Steelers really had a lot more riding on the game then the Seahawks did.  I mean, Jermome Bettis was retiring, it was his hometown, the Steelers stadium is only a four hour drive away so it was their territory...  The Hawks played really well though.  It wasn't a walk over.  We got two interceptions, a couple sacks, totally shut down two of their star players, and they were right up in there until the Steelers got that interception.  *shrugs*  The fact that they went at ALL is enough for me!

Speaking of refereeing, Cali... If you ever watch Sumo, you will notice that the referee has a small sword in his belt when he's officiating.  Traditionally, the referee had to be so honest and sure of every call he made that if he were to be found in the wrong either by making a bad call or by being dishonest, he was expected to be willing to take that sword out and commit suicide right there on the DOHYO....  Do you think something like that could work in professional football?

Dana

I want that to happen with not just professional football, but with college football too.    USC would've tied with Texas if the stupid refs had given them their touchdown.  And THEN they could've gone into overtime and who knows what would've happened...

Nah, USC still would have lost...

Eimi, there was no "If it isnt the Cowboys, I don't care".  Does that mean I can join Bree in the plotted against category? heheheh I rooted for the Steelers, although it was a pretty evenly matched game. Penalties and Referees - the great equalizers.

And Bree, I sooooo totally agree with you about hockey.   Hockey is what football SHOULd BE.   although I love them both...

go Red Wings!!

sorry I didn't answer this earlier, I love sports.

I've never actually watched a hockey game live.  I've always wanted to though.  I always meant to go up to BC for a Canuk's game, or even Seattle, Spokane or Tacoma's minor leagues.  But really I only watch hockey on the Olympics.

I give you leave to like the Cowboys ONLY because Drew Bledsoe is the QB there now.  He was a Washington State Cougar!

And BTW, Rylie... I am very much a WAZZU Cougar fan.  Bring on the APPLES!!!!
