I think it'd be cool! We can get older posts there. I know some stuff has been lost over the years - list changes, people leaving, emails changing, etc. Being able to put older posts somewhere would be a cool resource.

Would it be profitable to put up another google group for archive emails that users could contribute to?

What do you all think?

I have found some posts from Triad from Oct 2004 in one of my oldest email addresses, haha. Do you want me to put them in a bulk PDF or forward them individually, or what would work best to get them to you?

Heather

My first post at Triad was Oct 4th, 2004 (thank you Gmail for never deleting anything!) with my mentor Estelle. This was during a period of time when Mentorship was nearly impossible to get FREE from, I think I stayed on Mentorship for 6 months before leaving because I was tired of having to go through a mediator all the time, haha! My second time joining Triad went much, much better.

So here it is, my first post/copost with my first Triad persona, his name was J'klin.

Halli lingered in the Dining Cavern after supper, as she usually did when
she'd no early morning drills the next day. With a jug of wine in one hand
and a pair of glasses in the other, she wandered between tables, searching
for someone to share it with.

It wasn't long before her gaze fell on an ideal candidate - a handsome
brownrider, sitting alone at a quiet table and simply watching the crowds.
She made her way over to the table with a saucy swing to her hips and
deposited wine and glasses on the table before him.

"May I join you? I've been looking all over for the right person to share my
wine with..."

J'klin looked up as Halli approached and offered him company and wine. The
brownrider weighed his options. Sit here alone and return to an empty weyr,
or sit here with pleasurable company and a glass of wine.

"Have a seat." J'klin said with a smile as he moved over a bit to make room
for the woman, his eyes wandering over her figure as he did.

"Why, thank you." She seated herself, making sure to slide a little closer
to him along the bench than was strictly necessary, and poured out a glass
of wine for each of them. "I thought you looked a little lonesome, here on
your own - would I be right in thinking that?"

J'klin smiled as he took a glass of the wine, "Yes, I am here alone. And
since you were looking for company I take it you are here alone also." The
brownrider said, taking a sip of his wine and admiring Halli as he did.

"Me, alone?" Halli shook her head. "I was with a group of my wingmates, over
there." She pointed. "But they were getting pretty raucous, and I wasn't in
the mood for that this evening, so I decided to find a quieter corner and
an...interesting companion."

"Oh I see." J'klin murmured taking another sip of his klah. }:My rider, we
have drills in the morning, is it really wise to be drinking so much the
night before?:{ Nimyth questioned his rider. **I'll be fine, I'll just drink
some very strong klah in the morning before drills.** J'klin told his
dragon. }:I do not want to be scored again, J'klin. We promised to always
fly safely, and you cannot do that with a hangover.:{ The brown dragon
nagged. **Alright alright.** Nimyth snorted smugly }:Now that that is
settled, come oil my hide, it's getting patchy.:{

J'klin sighed and set his glass of wine down on the table, "I'm sorry to
drink and run, milady, but my dragon calls me to duty." The brownrider said
nodded respectfully to Halli as he rose from the table.

"Well, I ought to be offended," Halli replied, though her cheerful demeanour
told otherwise. "But I know how dragons can be, so I'll find someone else to
share my wine with. Another time, perhaps?"

The brownrider grinned  largely, "Perhaps." With a nod of farewell the man
left, however, he was thinking that having a cup of wine with Halli probably
wouldn't be wise. Beautiful women, wine, and wing drills just didn't go
together.

}:My thoughts exactly, my rider, you can devote your time to the shining of
my beautiful hide.:{ Nimyth said cheerfully.

**Joy.** J'klin remarked, albeit a tad dryly.

}:I knew that you would be excited.:{ Nimyth said as if he hadn't heard the
tone of his rider's "voice".

J'klin didn't answer as he was almost to his weyr. }:You know, I think you
should just bathe me first and then we can work on the oiling....:{ The
brown chattered the whole way down to the Weyrlake on the possibilities of
what to do with his "sensationally beautiful hide".
