My kids at school keep me laughing...

I have to say that between being out yesterday looking for a new car and the craziness that is my job, I needed a laugh today. We are getting about 4K for our 2000 Honda Civic from the insurance company and need to find a replacement for that much. Very difficult apparently, the dealerships want you to finance not pay cash and are very over prices. We have 3 possibilities out of about 12 car places.

Anyway, One of my eight year olds had a toiletting accident today. I was trying to get him to put the bag that had his soiled clothes in it back into his backpack. I had told him about three times, when another student pipes up "Mrs. Ayres, you shouldn't say it too many times."

I stared at him a moment and then decided to find out what he meant. He's very echolalic and repeats all kinds of conversations that he has with people days later.

He goes on to say "Mom says if you say it too many times people will be annoyed and not listen to you. You're supposed to say Oh, you're right."

This from a seven year old autistic boy. It made us all laugh when I told the ladies I worked with.  I am trying to get into graduate school and that is one problem after another, but I think that I have finally gotten everything straightened out. I had somehow applied with the wrong category and had to fill out a change request form that will take a business week to process.  Once I'm in then I should be able to be hired for next year as a Visual Impairment Teacher with my current district. Otherwise I am still jobless for the next school year.

Children can be cute. :)  Kat made up a silly song today that made me laugh.

Yeah, finding a decent car for that much is very hard.

I hope you have a job for next year!

Kids can save you day or ruin it. :)

Good luck with the car hunting.
