DCW Gold Egg Contest!

Hello Triadians!

I'm sure you are all aware that Dolphin Cove's own Nyith has laid a gold egg. Of course, Traelyn and N'vanik are just ecstatic, for the Weyr has been waiting for this! Now, who gets to Impress Triad's newest gold? Well, that is up for you to decide! We will be holding a contest. Anyone who is OFF MENTORSHIP, who has a PC Candidate and who does not currently have a goldrider ANYWHERE ELSE IN FANDOM (this is a very important point!) is eligible. So if you've always wanted to have a goldrider, this is your chance!

This contest will be conducted much like the Gold Egg Contests of previous years. Each contestant will submit a story to goldegg@triadweyrs.org on or before December 20th.

4) Read all the posts and vote for your favorite, and then wait for the results!

5) The winner will announced to the club in the IC Hatching post by the new year!

NO NAMES WILL BE USED DURING THE CONTEST! When the stories are sent to the list they will be identified only by number and not by the name of the writer. The name of the writers will be kept secret. This means that if you intend to write a story for this contest, YOU SHOULD NOT TELL ANYONE WHICH STORY IS YOURS!!! That would be cheating, and you know cheaters never prosper ;) If it is learned that you discussed details of your particular story with another member of Triad, you will be disqualified from this contest as well as whatever other sanctions the Council decides.

Note: There are no "gold only" Candidates in Triad, so if you do participate in this contest and do not win, your Candidate will Impress a lovely green dragon.

You stated that the post needs to be about a day in the life of a gold weyrling.  The ENTIRE day?  Or are just certain chosen aspects of it all right as well?

It's up to the writer.  But remember that it has to be part of a "typical day," contain no active PCs, and take place in the space of one day.

Hello Triadians!

This contest is being pushed back until after the holidays.  Most of us are LOA seeing family and friends, which I'm sure you'll all agree is very important this time of year and certainly takes priority above everything else    We ask for your patience--the contest will happen!
