Whats in your refrigerator?

I love New Castle Brown.  That and Sol are the only two beers where I'll drink a whole bottle.  Gotta have lime with the Sol though.

Newcastle is one word - It's a city in the North East of England that I happened to be in this weekend just gone... and Newcy Brown is gross :(

Anyway.... I have some Budweiser (better known for some strange reason as Gnat's pee!), some Petermans Artois (Belgian I think, a milder tasting version of Stella Artois or as it is locally known - wifebeater).  I did have some cider as well, but that got drunk.  Although last time I tried to buy beer for the fridge I got asked for ID!!! I felt like pointing out that my 34th is weeks away, so yes, I'm well over 18.

Aw, take it as a compliment!  I get mistaken for younger all the time.  But of course, they don't ID people here, so I haven't been carded in a while.  I get carded all the time in the states!

heck, I was only 17 when I was in Japan and they let me have Sake!  I didn't drink much, but I liked it.

People generally think I'm younger than my age, as well.  I don't mind!

Let's see. . .
a pitcher of iced green tea, spring water (gallon and individual bottles), a half bottle of Black Swan Shiraz, two containers of pineapple juice, half a bottle of Twist Up (Walmart version of 7Up), several bottles of black cherry sparkling water, and a lone bottle of Guinness Extra Stout.


Food-wise -- coconut bread, pineapple cream cheese, some containers of yogurt, kimchee, cheese, eggs, hummus, mushrooms, peppers, mixed salad greens, and various condiments. I think I need to shop.

Milk - low fat (Mark & I) and normal (the kids).  

White wine - 2 types - reisling for drinking and crappy (gift) stuff for lasagne and bolognese sauce.

Cold tap water - in the fridge in an open bottle so all the smelly additives evaporate.

Fruit juice - empty bottle (thanxz Bobbie!)

Cordial - for Cailee

Four types of insulin (not a drink - but not food either) and assorted cough and cold remedies.

I"ve never had cordial.  What does it taste like?

It's just a concentrated sugar and flavouring mixture that you dilute in water.  You probably have it in the states with a different name.

You can also buy syrup type drinks that you dilute with soda/mineral water - lemon or lime juice cordial.  Very refreshing in summer over ice.

Cordial is also what I referred to as Squash. Kaysea, remember Robinson's Orange Squash??? I get the sugar free versions as the normal ones are way too sweet.

I remember Orange Squash... Isn't Robinsons the one who used to have the golliwog club?  I can remember collecting them all when I was little.
