putting the 'other' back in 'other writing'

Okay, so I know folks are done Nano, but are you doing any other non-Triad writing in the mean time? I've got two short stories awaiting their fates at magazines, and I just joined one of those freelance article sites that keep popping up, called Helium. And I just won $75!!! So, still kind of a scam, but not so much of one since it'll help pay my VISA bill. Anyone else braving the murky waters of publication?

Aside from my NaNo novel, I have another that I'm editing, and another that I'm about halfway through. I started writing that one again on Monday after I told myself I didn't need to write at all this month. It seems like the creativity from NaNo is spilling over. I might even have a sub plot for the sequel to one of my books.

Eventually, at least ONE of them should be ready to send out to agents!

I have a lovely short story I'd like to publish, but I can't ever get up the guts.  

what if Im not as good as I think? LOL

*g* Clancey, everyone gets rejection letters. It's a fact of life! However, a good way to make sure that you're short stories are up to snuff is to get your friends to read them, and to read them honestly. Online critique groups also help lots. You can do it!!

Yes, go for it Clancey! If you can find a good critique group, I personally think it's best. It's harder to get friends to do an honest eval if they think you're just looking for support.
