The end is in sight... It's time for poor old Benaroy to name an Heir! Well, almost time... Our three wonderful candidates, Benaran, Nimroy, and Kosten have until September 1st to shine! From September 1st a ballot will be sent out and you, our lovely Triadians, will choose which one will be named the Heir to Benaroy's Lordship of Amber Hills Hold. Though the voting will end September 15th, the winner will be announced in a post October 1st, at which point that Heir will become Lord of Amber Hills!

So what do you need to do? Well, if you are Vix, Ainsley, or Patrick, you need to keep working on those story lines! Impress us all with your mad Lordling skills! If you are anyone else, you need to be watching our three hopefuls and decide which one you would like to see as the Lord of Amber Hills and then VOTE for them!

Good luck Benaran, Nimroy, and Kosten! May the best man win!

Note: the ballot will be for both contests, the Heir and the Gold Egg.

Yes, there has. Sorry, I meant to announce that. I spoke to Vix about delaying it until we know for sure what is happening with Ainsley. Unfortunately, Patrick had to pull out, so it may be that Vix would win by default. Of course, if there is anyone who wants to use the delay as a chance to enter the contest last minute, I'm sure I could speak to Vix about that.

I'd just as soon put this on hold -- I adopted Benaran to make the contest more interesting, so I'd prefer that there actually be some competition!

Is the gold egg vote on hold as well?

No, actually, thanks for bringing that up. With that, Clancey is usually the one who makes the voting ballots, but she's having internet connection problems, so we're hoping to have that sent out soon.

Thanks for pointing that out! Sorry, things have been crazy in RL and I'm trying to catch up. I will try to be better about communicating.

I can see why you'd want to have the contest actually work as a contest, Vix, but it's been going since early 2006 and still no end date in sight.

Contests are jinx magnets.
