Thanks everyone! I signed my contract on Thursday and will start with a new teacher orientation on the 13th of August.

My mom is going to throw me a teacher shower at the end of the month. She read about it in a dear Abby column last week and decided that it was a good idea to celebrate me finally getting a job. Everyone brings a favorite book from their childhood and different things a teacher could use. I like the idea because as a first year teacher there are a lot of things that you don't have and could really use.
