Clancey's Retirement

It is with a heavy heart we have to let the club know that our dear Clancey has decided to retire from active participation in Triad. I'm sure you've all realized this was coming but we've now received the email we'd been dreading.

Here is an excerpt from her note to the council:

Hi,

I know and you all know its been coming, but I was fighting sending this email because this is the final thing...  I love Triad and I want it to be successful.   To stay successful.

I will share that I start a brand new job on Monday.   Its a regular Marketing job with a small family owned company.   Its a HUGE jump in pay.   Great benefits.  AND its only 10 minutes from my house.   On top of that, they want me to go back to school to get my Masters in Teaching which is what I really want to do.   

While that MAY make more time for me to post, I know that its time to not post. For a while.   

It also may make time for me to have an actual life and do the things I love.    I'm still writing my own curriculum for Sunday school and that takes alot of my free time.  I'm busy with Drama and am actually finding time for my friends (the ones that live HERE anyway... ... everyone on this list is also my friend and I would love to spend time with all of you too... )

I do love all of you.    I don't want to do this but i don't know any other fair way.

She went on to tell us what to do with her various characters and we have done so. One of her dearly loved ones was Felyna(The Lady Holder at Emerald Falls) but she's put her up for adoption so if any of you care to adopt her please feel free to contact Paula.

With all that we can only say how very much we all love Clancey and wish her all the best in the future.  Of course, we hope she'll return and soon but I'm sure we all acknowledge that real life comes first.

Clancey, we all wish you well and safe journeys whether on Earth or on Pern.

Sad to see Clancey go. I think she was my first ever coposter. We had a lot of fun together and she's part of the reason I stuck around long enough to get addicted to this club.

I'm sad to see her go :( But I really do understand and I'm glad that it's a given in this club that RL always comes first. It keeps the door open for someone to come back when things clear up again, knowing there won't be judgement. I hope that'll be the case for Clancey some day too ^_^

Mmmm people do come back. Maybe sometime down the road, she'll find her way again to the open door. Will miss her lots though. We used to have great chats.
