Gold Flight Schedule 2014-15

Hey guys,

As you know up until recently we've had two gold riders at each Weyr and spaced each rider's flights approximately 18 months apart IRL(9 months ICly.  Well now with the advent of a Third rider at Dolphin Cove we've needed to take that schedule and shift things around to allow for a third flight at each Weyr while keeping the 18 month spacing. We've found that with a bit of nudging here and there we were able to unite the empty months into a space at each Weyr for an additional Flight-Clutch-Hatching.

This means there will be an additional event each Pern Month but spacing them this way means there will be one every month at every Weyr. Following is a grapic to represent the new schedule.



The net effect to our current queens would be as follows:

• Genith would move up a month (2 mo RL) for the adjustment and then go back to the 9 month interval
• Elleth would move back 2 months (4 RL) for the adjustment (ditto)
• Orlaith would move up a month (ditto)
• Vilarth would move back a month (ditto)

Sorry I couldn't reply to you on this one before we published the EGG Contest.  But there ya go.  We don't have a projection for the one at RBW as yet but will let you all know when we do.

I was looking at the hatching schedule on the websiteand noticed that it had soemthing weird where Onnyth Clutched m5d21 and Hatched m6d6, which seems really close together. Also, that doesn't align with this graphic. Is the website post going to get updated?

Hmmm, that's odd. Where do you see it? The little egg icon is on 5/6 so i'm not sure if the post got timelined wrong maybe?

The schedule in the Hatching FAQ has these entries for Onnyth:

1/15/14   m5 d6   Onnyth Rises   DFW   Emma
1/20/14   m5 d21   Onnyth Clutches   DFW   Emma
3/15/14   m6 d6   Onnyth's Clutch Hatches   DFW   Emma


But the calendar view shows Rising m4d6, Clutching m5d6, Hatching m6d6. And the actual post to the list was dated m5d6. So I'm pretty sure it's just the Hatching FAQ table that I linked that's somewhat inaccurate.

You're right and that was our original schedule. Unfortunately, Eimi is unable to post right now and therefore the Council decided to bump Onnyth earlier so we could have the gold egg contest at DFW. I thought I had caught all the references and fixed the Calendar etc. The calendar is correct and the FAQ is wrong. I'll get that fixed when I return from the Conference.
