I am sad to say that today, I took a bit of time to say goodbye to an old friend that had seen me through some of the best years of my life.  We had laughed together.  We had cried together.  We had fallen in love together.  And we had nightmares for years together.  But it was just time to take the bold step and say goodbye.

VHS tapes, you will live forever in my heart, but I'm sorry, I just don't have space for you in my closet anymore...

Heh hee. I should do the same with our collection, since no one watches them any longer. *snif* And I spent nearly five years taping (and countless tapes) every episode of Babylon 5....

I have all of the twilight zones on VHS!  I'm keeping those, but that's about it.  And some of my brother's high school musical tapes.  But other than that, it was SAYONARA!

Oh my Eimi,

I had to take the same step and it was quite heart wrenching at the time even though it was cleansing.  

The only things I kept were the historical moments (kids etc) and I'm looking for a way to transfer them to DVD without spending a bundle.

Oh dear, we've just done the same to my 10 year old computer.  You could aways find a box or two for the best...?
