New Bronzerider Impression Policy

Hello Triadians!

The Council has been rather quiet lately due to a lot of LIAs and LOAs, and an overload of administrative work.  I'm hoping in the next day or two to clear the decks a bit.  I appreciate all your patience with us!

One thing that we had been discussing for a little while now is in regards to bronzerider Impressions.  We have had "Guarenteed Bronze Impression" as a Member Reward for some time now.  We feel it is rather unfair to make some people pay for bronzeriders and others who are equally qualified be given one for free.  We also think it puts an unfair burden on the shoulders of the writers of the Hatching as to who deserves a bronze and who does not.  Therefore, the Council has decided that from this point on, ALL bronzerider Impressions in Hatchings must be paid for with Member Rewards.  There are a few reasons why we have decided to go that route:

1. Bronze Impressions should be a reward for hard work and activity, and one measure of how much time and effort you have put into your personas is by the number of Member Rewards you've accumulated.
2.  A bronze should be something you work towards, and if you have to use your member rewards for it, you have definitely earned it!
3.  We are sure that if you make the sacrifice of spending your Member Rewards on the Impression, than you have put a lot of time and thought into the persona and will therefore be active with them.

PLEASE NOTE: This is only for Impressions in Hatchings, not for adult or weyrling bronzes after Impression.  Those will be handed in the same way as before.

So, to recap, if you have a candidate persona that you really want to see Impress a bronze in a Hatching, you will need to pay the 425 Member Reward Marks in order to do so, otherwise they will Impress blue or brown.
