A New Weyrleader at DFW

Some of you might have had a chance to read the post, "An Unexpected Change".  There is a new Weyrleader at DFW!  Several months ago, Roxanne approached the Council and said that because of real life time constraints she would like to step down as L1 and have D'wrayt not win the next Flight.  I wish I could say I knew how long Roxanne had been writing the well loved Weyrleader, but the truth is I don't even know since it's been as long as I've been a member at Triad.  She has devoted a lot of her time and energy to the position over the years, and I think I speak for all of us, certainly for the Council, when I say that we appreciate everything she has done .  Of course that is not to say that she's leaving the club or that she will not longer have D'wrayt to post with!  It is our sincere hope that her real life will allow her the time to continue posting with one of the most developed personas in our club!

Considering the timing of the Flight - the fact that we had just had a Weyrleader contest, a Gold Egg contest, a roll call and the Crayon Awards -it seemed simpler for the Council to fill the position as soon as possible to make the transition go as smooth as it can.  That is not to say that this is a permanent arrangement.  Whether or not the new Weyrleader will hold the position the next Flight is certainly not set in stone and there will be a few shake-ups in the near future, so I hope you will all join in the fun!
