I did check out the FAQ and of course the "Population" section for DFW, but I couldn't find this so I'm sorry if it is covered somewhere and I missed it.  I was wondering roughly how many people are in the Weyr?  How many Wings total?  Give or take, how many people are in a Wing?  I'm not looking for exact numbers, but trying to get a general feel.

I went to search our canon books, but find that much of my library is still packed.  I know that we are supposed to be very cautious about use of DLG but I did find some references so maybe you can let me know how these compare to Triad Southern Weyrs.

1)  Fighting strength of a Weyr the high is around 330 fighting not counting Queens, injured, or weyrlings
2)  Lucky to have 9 good fighting Wings
3)  Wing size 12-30
4)  Around 1200 support staff/lower caverns

QuoteAverage Weyr size: 1000-1500 residents.

This # is more likely for the old Weyrholds (River Bluff, Dolphin Cove, Dragonsfall, Vista Point, and Far Island) than the reopened Weyrs (such as Dream's End). DE probably is lower, 800-1000 residents.

Dragonrider #s probably 360 (average late Pass size) to 500 (early Pass #s increase to cover higher casualties during Fall).
Which can be found here.

Well, we don't actually say how many wings there are because perhaps in the future if a location is really hopping we'd want to add to that.  But you can bet there wouldn't be 9.  This is the begining of a Pass, so they're not at full fighting strength yet.  And it would depend on which Weyr you were talking about since Dragonsfall didn't have a Hatching for a turn and Dolphin Cove had a major Threadfall accident that desimated a wing.  So it would be safe to say that at this point River Bluff was the bigger Weyr in terms of numbers of riders in the sky.

Although, I have to say, those numbers sound low to me considering a Clutch during a Pass can be 40 Eggs and a Queen rises every turn...

Is this for a post?

Thanks!  I knew that the numbers had to be somewhere and that they would have to vary considerably per Weyr.  As for whether or not it is for a post, not precisely but as I considered different SLs for my new dragonrider, I kept coming up with questions related to this information.  It helps me with the feasibility of certain ideas and which direction to go with those.
