When a tech tells you to turn off your computer, what do you do?

scream, shout, then go get a cup of tea ;)

Honestly!  These people get confused by such complex instructions as "turn the computer off"

Tell them to please come back in half an hour when I've finally managed to shut everything down gracefully, or preferably go away until some date in the future which I will then proceed to forget and still not manage to have everything wound up by.

Ask them if I should shut down, or just turn it off.

I shut down the computer.  Of course, I used to work in a call center so...

Start saving stuff I've in process.. then go ctrl-alt-del ->shut down.
