I know it seems as though I'm spamming the list, but I miss not having something to read on here. :)

Onto the question:

If you could take three things to a deserted island with you for two weeks R & R, what would you take?

Me?

1. A good book - Temeraire - The Throne of Jade (if it ever arrives in the book shop *grumbles*).

2. A writing compendium (includes pen and paper which counts as one item ;) )

3. A willing partner for when the sun goes down and I can no longer read or write - gotta have someone there to give me a long slow massage.  ;)

Okay, your turn!

Anyone who can only think of only one way to spell a word obviously lacks imagination.

You said deserted, but I assume all the necessities of food, water, shelter, etc are there, so I will go

1. My Husband, it's no fun without him.
2. Magic The Gathering decks, we love to play but never have any time.
3. My Harry Potter collection, I've been wanting to re-read them but again... no time.

Ah, good you specified that there would be the necessities... cause if not, my answer is always: A knife, a big plastic tarp and toilet paper

But since there are accomidations...

I'd take an iPod - the big one full of music (not that I own an iPod, but you didn't say it had to be things I already own! :jg:  )

I'd take a laptop with a sattelite hook-up thingamajig attached (for accessing the net! And likewise I don't own a laptop, see above! )

I'd take my camera cause I have an obsession with taking vacation pictures and if I didn't take my camera, I'd just be pissed at myself for forgetting it! :jg:

Patrick

Well I'd take my cellphone, which doubles as an MP3 player, so I can haves me my music.  Gotta have my music.

My bookshelf, complete with book collection.  Its one thing I swear!  xD

And a compendium of drawing apparati.  Which includes pencils and pens, paper and a laptop and scanner so I can work on my digital artwork.

So all in all I'd only be bringing about three suitcases full of crap.  thats still three things right? xD

Cali

Hey Patrick, maybe while you're there you could finish drawing the Dolphin Hall maps! :)

I'd travel light:

* an e-book reader with 500 books on it  (we're there two weeks, after all!)

* my husband (he deserves a break from cooking for me at home - he can cook for me on the island, instead)

* sun glasses (my eyes really don't like the sun - years of working in an artificially lit office, I reckon)

Oh, and my husband could carry the e-book readers and the sun glasses, then I really would be travelling light.
