Is there any OOC plan to move the Harper Hall over the next RL year or so?

If, for instance, I made a character at the Hall (since I like the DCW location), would he/she be dragged off to the wilds of EFH or somewhere to live in a new Hall?

Thanks!

Eimi

We have no plan to move it, but that doesn't mean that we won't come up with a plan in the next year...  So right now I'd say no, but I can't promise that won't change a few months down the road...

Okay.  Can you tell me a little more about how the Hall works within the Weyr?
QuoteThere they converted an unused portion into a new makeshift Hall. Meeting rooms and storage rooms have been converted into class and practice rooms, and weyrs into resident quarters.
This is on the web pages.

Do the harpers integrate for cooking and dining or do they have their own facilities.  Is the 'Hall' all in one area of the Weyr, or are the rooms they've taken over scattered all around?  If in one area, which area?

Thanks!

Eimi

The Hall is in one section of the Weyr.  They are all together.  We never said a specific cardinal direction of the Weyr that they are located in, just  that they are on the lower levels in a large section of weyrs, meeting rooms and storage rooms that are not in use by the Weyr (overflow rooms)

I think there isn't a room in their area that could hold the entire Hall for meals, though.  They also don't have a seperate cooking facility, so (though we've never talked about it officially) I'd say their cooking staff has blended with the Weyrs cooking staff for meals (that is to say they all cook the three main meals together, so Hall folk and Weyr folk would be eating the same thing no matter where they eat at).  Of course, Clancey or Dana can correct me there if I'm wrong.  I think the apprentices would all eat together in a large meeting room in order to maintain discipline and the "Hall Experience", but that the Masters and Journeymen (if not responsbile for apprentices) would be encouraged to take their meals with their families in their rooms or in the Weyr dining cavern.
