Am I correct in thinking that a bronze or brown doesn't usualy fly a green or gold from a clutch he himself sired or is that wrong?

well if we go by the book, siblings (Ramoth and Mnementh for example, they did have the same mother.) have mated before.  And I assume that  when Benden was on its own and the Senior Queen died, the Former Weyrleader would chase the new queen.  So I suppose its possible.  But here in Triad is it ethical, I don't know.

Yeah, I think there isn't any problem with that.  The main concern would be inbreeding, but since dragons were genetically engineered, I don't think that was every such a big concern.  There is enough variation that it's not real problem, and greens don't procreate anyway.  Also, it's all instinctual.  If a dragon decides to chase, I don't think it much matters how closely they are genetically linked.  I think it comes down to the writers choice really.
