Has anyone else done this? It's pretty fun! It's a choose your adventure Pern fanfic where you create a candidate, complete tasks, etc., with the goal of making it to the Hatching and Impressing.

I've done it 4 times. The first time I had a male candidate who Impressed a blue, two times I didn't even make it to the Hatching, and the last time I made it to the Hatching but didn't Impress.

I've played ~10 times now. 2 Impressions (brown boy and green girl), 3 deaths, 3 left standing, twice kicked out. This is giving me huge ideas for candidate and weyrling shenanigains!

Wow, I loved this! I'm a big fan of puzzle adventure games. I've tried once so far and my character Impressed a green.

But I will be back to try and solve the quests I missed...and find out how you kill your character. :)

I would be interested in a shenanigan! I do have a couple of Candidates who will probably be kicked out in relatively short order. 😆

I love this! I've played twice now - got kicked out once and a female blue impression the second time (it was super sweet! And featured a lot of T'gala, which was delightful since she was one of my favorite characters in Dragonchoice 3); will need to play again soon!

Also, for anyone who hasn't read the stories that this game is based on... go and download them now! They are amazing. I am about half way through reading the third one and it's blowing my mind. I can't say too much without spoiling it, but it has some really awesome "what if" ideas about dragons and their abilities, as well as a twisty plot that keeps throwing nasty surprises at the characters (and the reader).

I didn't realize the candidates could die!  Now I'll need to play a few more times.

And, oh my goodness the dragonchoice trilogy is amazing. I read the first two years ago but hadn't seen the third until Estelle's comment. I feel like I've done nothing else over the past week but read it. And now I kind of want to have a beastcrafter character...
