Introductions / Re: Hello again

Hi there!

I have a candidate at DCW, Naika. Let me know if you want to copost!

C'jex as "sex" is my new head fanon.

Five I'd like to know:
Kielya: My head pronunciation is "Kill ya." I think that says more about my psyche than the character, LOL>
Keayd: I alternate between "keyed" and "cade"
Meledei: Does it sound like "Melody" or "Mele-DAY"
Rhosyn: Is it like "rosin" (the stuff you put on a violin bow), or Rose-in
Lanniya: Luh-NEE-yuh? LAN-ee-uh? Luh-NYE-uh?

Introductions / *sneaks in*
July 01, 2014, 03:37:57 PM
I heard this was the hot place for returning members.

So... hi to the people I know, most of whom already noticed I was back ;-)

If this makes you happy, blame Amanda.
If not, ummm, blame me I guess? LOL

I'm not really good at these whole introductions things... I guess if I had to say that I was known for something, it's for long plotlines and being extremely mean to my characters.

I have a new candidate Naika at DCW if anyone wants to partake in some coposties!

Member Inquiries / Dragonriders and Craft Rank
July 02, 2011, 07:59:55 PM
Obviously, dragonriders don't have a lot of time to progress in a craft during a Pass. But what about retired riders? Is it conceivable that a retired rider could get promoted within a craft? And how would that work? Is that a special circumstance or anything, or does it just require local L1 permission? Could a non-retired rider very slowly progress in a craft? What about Dragonhealing, since all JM and higher Dragonhealers need to be riders?

Ohai there newbie!! Let us know when you get a character through and I'll see who I have to copost with you!

I know that the summer slump has hit, but I am SURE that some of you want to copost with me! Here's what I've got, and some ideas of what I'm looking for.

Daishii: Former Printer, Recently Impressed a Green at DCW. I need to get her involved in something because I'm having a hard time coming up with anything.
J'klin: Struggling-to-Reform Alcoholic, Brownrider at RBW. He could use friends, possibly some temptation to drink, perhaps a Mindhealer?
J'nor: He keeps pretty busy with the Weyrling Posts, and with his Relationship with O'ryn, but I'm open if anyone wants anything else from him.
K'hetah: Wingleader at DCW. He's got a bit of a relationship going on, but if any of his wingriders wanted to copost, or if any other area Leadership wanted to talk, that'd be cool.
Lyranel: The often clumsy Lady Holder's assistant at AHH. I'd love to find her a man - either for a bit, or for a serious relationship. She's also available to have happy accidents if necessary.
Mardria: Mardria's 85th Birthingday is in M3 at RBW. She's also Apprenticing as a Dragonhealer, and can cause trouble/start gossip as necessary. A man would be nice too!
Namiren: Minor Holder in EFH territory. He's searching for a wife (but has a candidate). Could also be interested in talking to various leaders at EFH. His Hold would love people too!
Rignaer: Farmcrafter at AHH. Recently married. Could use some friends, or some other interests in his life.
Tiernan: Ship's Captain of SWE. At DCW for a few more sevendays. Could use some crew.

I'm also available for NPCs, and I have a few characters coming down the pipeline.

Cruise or Resort?
Resort! Cruises terrify me, I don't want to be stuck on a boat and have something go wrong.

Quote from: "Len"On this day, in the year...erm...not allowed to say...Mrs and Mr. Pearlman had the birth of their lovely daughter, Emma!!!!!  Happy birthday, girl!

 :occasion4:  :occasion2:  :occasion1:  :occasion6:  :occasion7:  :pottytrain2:  :happy6:
Now, now, Len, we don't know that Emma doesn't bear a strong resemblance to the milkman!

(is that a saying in the UK? "She looks like the milkman?")

What? All I'm saying is that there's a reason that Judaism is conveyed from mother to child!

(Also, Happy Birthday!)

So a few years back at a party, I had a Classic Pimm's. The way we mixed it was with equal measures of lemonade and Pimm's. I finally found it in the local liquor stores again, and I wanted to try it again, but when I did some research online, I found out that British recipes calling for "lemonade" typically don't mean lemonade as an American thinks of it - lemon juice, water and sugar. They refer to a citrus-y soda, like Sprite. I found a recipe that sounded quite good and called for Ginger Ale and a splash of Lemon, and was pleasantly surprised by the results. Now, since I understand that the classic Pimm's is a pretty common affair in the UK, I'm sure someone has the definitive "best" recipe for it.

Also, I hear that Pimm's No. 6 is good, albeit not available in the US. Has anyone had it? Is it worth me trying to find someplace and get shipped to the US?

I think ya'll need to record your accents and post them here so we can get some basis for comparison.

Does Bristols mean Boobs where you are? Because I bet that makes the Palin family that more awesome.

It is right here:

From personal experience, I remember trying to cook a British recipe that called for Aubergine, and I wandered aimlessly around the grocery store trying to find one... before realizing it was a fancy word for eggplant.
