That's cool. I thought that might be the case, but wondered if there was a set one or not and thought I'd ask. :)

That's cool! Stuff happens. :D

I do have a question, for my own reference. What timezone does the timeline go by? Is it GMT?

Hey! I just thought I'd check and see if you all had a chance to decide on the new bonus schedule yet or if you're still working on it. I'm thinking about my next few characters, but without knowing where the bonuses are gonna be it's hard to decide what order to put them in.  :alien:

Ah, well. Thanks for the reply! I don't think I necessarily agree with you all about all the points on the dogs and I'm disappointed about the circus, but it's all good. :D

Member Inquiries / Between Question

Firelizards wouldn't be able to go between with a dead person in mind, would they? I mean, has that ever been established? I would think not, because, it seems to me that teleporting being a mental ability, they'd need a mind to lock in on even if they use a visual of the person to represent the target. And if you're dead, so's your mind.

I can't remember if it was ever an issue in the books and I haven't read the very latest ones. Has it ever been established in the club? What's everyone's thoughts on it? If you sent a firelizard to someone, and they happened to have just died, would they go? I don't think they would. I think they'd be really confused, like when you pretend to throw a toy down a hall and the dog halfway runs down the hall to retrieve it, but then realizes something's up and stops and gets all confused. (done that, it's hilarious!) The firelizard would get all confused if you tried to send it to someone who'd died, I think, and just not go. Might get upset too, like, "Why're you telling me to go to this person who doesn't exist anymore???" upset. Only with more screeching and unhappy mental impressions and less actual words. LOL

I think she probably means this section:

QuoteHer main focus would still be her craft, but she would probably be asked to take some Candidate classes now and then. That would help her get to know her potential Clutchmates and it would keep everything she would need to know should she Impress fresh in her mind.

Where as the FAQ on the average Candidate's day says:

QuoteNo eggs on sands
7 c/m Wake up,Bathe, then breakfast
8 c/m Class:
10 c/m Craft duties/Chores assigned my Headwoman if a candidate has no craft
13 c/m
Lunch
14 c/m as 10c/m
16 c/m Exercises to build strength and stamina.
17 c/m Dinner
18 c/m Free time
19 c/m Clean barracks, followed by barracks inspection.
20 c/m Evening Chores
21 c/m Limited free time. Candidate preferred to stay near barracks
23 c/m Lights Out.

But I think that schedule (which is, if I read the description of it right, more of a 'general guideline' than a written in stone thing), as far as class time vs work time, would be more for candidates who're Searched and/or ones who're just starting to Stand. I mean, I doubt anyone who grew up in a Weyr needs a whole lot of class time to teach them about living in a Weyr and the duties of the people in it, but some apprentice Searched from a Hall or Hold would totally need those classes. But then, if he's been a candidate for a few turns now, he probably doesn't need to attend them as often cause, well, he's probably heard it all several times over by now. And, of course, if you don't live in the barracks, you don't have to clean them, I would think.

But yeah, without having to go to class (or only having to go once or twice a week), then that's 8am-2pm for craft time, 4pm if you don't have to do the exercising. Where as, if you do have to go to class everyday, yeah, that's only 3 hours for crafting. Dawn's candidate though, if I'm understanding it right, would fall in the first category, hence the majority of her 'work day' would be focused on her craft.

Am I right or am I misinterpreting everything? (Which is totally possible cause my brain works things out in funny ways sometimes! LOL)

Member Inquiries / Webbies?
April 05, 2010, 05:55:59 PM
Hey! I sent an email today to the Council and the webbies email address. I did that cause I wasn't sure at the time if I was spelling it right and thought maybe the wonderful Council could forward the email if needed. Then, the email I sent bounced back with the following error from the webbies address:

QuoteDelivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    mailto:webbies@triadweyrs.org">webbies@triadweyrs.org

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 No Such User Here" (state 17).

So, I figured, yep! I messed it up.

Only, I found the email later today on the site, and it looks right. So, is the webbies email broken? Should I be sending bug/points/site/picture (cause I totally plan on drawing up pictures for my peeps at some point)/etc., emails to the Council? Or do the webbies have a new email addy? Or am I just so goofy that I have missed my own typo in the email I used? (Entirely possible, I'm pretty goofy! LOL)

General Copost Requests / Who Am I Missing?
April 05, 2010, 03:09:17 PM
Who do I not have at least one copost going with? Let's get some going!  :bounce: I sent out some more starts today, but I'm always wanting to do more!

And for everyone (whether we've already got one going or not), it's a new month! Who wants a coposter for their rankers?  :kg: Why leave it to the last minute?

And the Vintner Hall and Emerald Falls are both bonus posting this month, so feel free to grab any one of my characters if you're feeling like earning some bonus points, even if you don't have a character there! NPCs are fun for everyone. Also, feel free to send me any random start that strikes your fancy! I LOVE receiving random starts and don't get nearly enough of them.

Let's make April the postiest month evah!  :blob6:
