I don't watch it... I actively turn the television/radio/etc over when it's mentioned.

It's all political in my mind, and votes aren't actually based on the music.

(Plus, for the last few years, I've been working... and before that, I was at uni without a TV).

Right, so, life has for the moment settled down - and I don't have any big plans planned for a while soo... time to kick myself into gear with posts... soo... anyone up for it?  (Noola, I know you will be... =D)

I've got Nirraja - a candidate at DFW. She's starting to wonder if she'll ever impress... I meant for her too last time, but I missed the hatching hehe.  Maybe next time... or maybe I'll keep her not impressing, and have her start debating a "future career"...

I've also got Taelana - a kitchen worker at the Vintner Hall.  She's not doing much at the moment... And I think I probably had a couple of posts going with her that have fallen into the depths of my inbox, so if anyone wants to continue with those I'll have a look through and dig them out if I can. (nb. AHH is a bonus location in June, so if someone there wanted to make use of this, I can certainly give Tae' an excuse to go up there.)

I'm also happy to do NPCs, of course.

Well with the little scare of today, it's reminded me how much I do enjoy Triad's style of things... and I want to kick my butt in gear and actually get onto posting more again and such... however, I've no memory of who exactly my mentor is anymore.  I checked the Mentor list on the site, but don't see myself listed there, so...?

(edit. No, I didn't move out of mentorship that I am aware of).

I'd also be interested in getting in on this... I do kinda imagine there being some small dogs around already to go after tunnel snakes and the like perhaps... however, I do picture them as very mutty-scruffy things... bred to hunt, rather then for looks.

If this is not an April falls trick, and I'm hoping It was. I am... Disapointed... to find the decision has been made and we're just being told it's happening whether we like it or not. I stand firmly by the belief that asking, discussing and then deciding is the way forward. I get enough dictating to at work and I - like dawn - chose to join triad, and I personally choose not to join Arolos.

I will keep an eye on what happens with the marks for Tae, but I'm not worried if I actually receive them or not - it was mostly for future reference.  

Illista we've talked about a fair bit now in the course of our post, but, I think I've made her father's relocation reasonable (he was a weyrbrat, who moved to the hold to marry Ill's mother, then moved back to the Weyr when she died), but, I will edit things if needed. She's leaning towards being my next persona anyways now, so, should soon have a Persona Sheet to send in for her.

I'm thinking I may skip J'yll in favour of the dragonhealer for now (even if that will give me 3 girls and 0 boys, lol), so there is no rush for an answer about him for a while since I'm still on mentorship-ie-3-characters.

Well if any of your riders at RBW would feel like befriending a dragonhealer, I've a character I'm planning to create once I'm off mentorship... but with Jane's/Zharesti's candidate plot, I'm itching to use her as an NPC once in the mean time - she'll be fretting that she's being forced to stand, but unwilling to go to Zharesti and plead not to stand.

Firstly, bonus locations:

- Am I right in thinking, SWE, is, 'elsewhere on pern' ?
- Also, do personas submitted for bonus locations count based on when they were submitted, or when they were approved? (For example, Taelana was submitted on June 26th, but Approved July 2nd). I'm not worried either way, I just mostly want to check so that I know to submit a persona a bit earlier in the month if needed.

Secondly, my new dragonrider

- Well, as I mentioned in another thread, I've been thinking about creating a male greenrider. He's one I've had elsewhere in the past, but I'm not currently playing... and I miss him a little bit... lol
- J'yll is male, however, he is - well, fairly androgynous. He was a weaver pre-impression, and he enjoys wearing 'pretty' clothes... and he doesn't make a huge distinction between male and female clothing. He tends to keep his hair on the longer side of average for a rider (it will still go under his riding hat, but, it's definitely not 'short'). So, yeah, it's not uncommon for him to be mistaken for a woman from time to time - a bit of a tall flat chested one, but it's not impossible to make the mistake (and sometimes he exploits the fact he can confuse people - for the fun of it).  Since this is a bit, 'interesting/unusual', I wanted to clarify whether this would be an acceptable sort of character or not?
- I'm considering him throwing him over at RBW as a searchrider... I can't see search rider on the ranking personas lists, but am I right in thinking he's not considered a rank level persona? (nb. I'd probably have him 'behave' with the whole clothes thing when searching outside the Weyr, because he does get hold/hall people aren't as accepting, and wouldn't want to - like - cause trouble for the Weyr)
- Also, I checked the site but wasn't 100% certain on the answer to this - would I be able to create him with a firelizard (green/blue)? Or are they limited to being purchased with member rewards?

Crafting at the Weyr?

- Am I right in thinking a female dragonhealer at a Weyr would be an option? The character I was thinking of, is (when I've played her in the past) Hallbred, but, I'm thinking perhaps her father could have got placed at the Weyr, and so, she perhaps apprenticed once she got to the Weyr. I've read the FAQ, and I think that would be permissible, but since I'm asking loads of questions, one more won't hurt - right?

Runner Craft?

- I've not seen anything about runners as PC, or at a Played Location... but is there a Runner Station set up anywhere (attached/on the edge of a hold/hall perhaps?) I'm vaguely toying with a character at the moment, for quite a way down the line, but he'd work quite nicely as a runner if there was somewhere he could be based (even if he was a Hold/Hall resident who acted as an 'unofficial' runner, as oppose to an actual runner from a runner station).

And, I think I've asked everything that's been pottering around in my mind now... I'll probably have more later though =D (Edit: I knew I forgot something).

Francesca, thank you for bringing that post to my attention. Firstly, it was amusing, (go Eimi!), but secondly it's given me an idea for Nirra... who... well... would probably love reading those books, and probably not have the sense not to talk about them in public - cue some embarrassment for her companions perhaps?

I haven't met you before (Strangely, I've not played in any of the games you have - though I have heard of nearly all of them, and played in numerous others), so this is a brand new nice to meet you.

I'm Amy, and currently have a two characters - a candidate at DFW and a kitchen worked at Vintner Halls (both linked from my signature actually)... so, if you fancy a roleplay once you've got some characters approved, let me know... Nirra especially needs some love. =)

Just to sort of, bump this thread, I'd really love to get more into Triad - so if anyone who's replied above would like a co-post I'd love and adore you... I realise we've just missed VH being the bonus location (I meant to make use of it, but real life is, meh) but I still have three of my 'first five' posts left... which is a chance for some extra marks guys... =)
