And K'mai is always up for meeting new people! ;)

Welcome back Emma!

We haven't ever had guest writers at Triad. Everyone has to sign up and go through the mentor process to write posts here.

Borrowing a character with permission to use as part of backstory is fine. Writing a flashback from your character's POV is fine too.

For your questions 1 & 2 - it definitely happens! We even had a post fairly recently that deals with that same situation. Leaf on the Wind story link

3. belt knives, maybe?
4. Yes. Dragonless riders are triaged for any physical injuries and sometimes given a sedative for the shock. They have the choice to take a mercy draught.
4.2. A dragon being eaten by Thread as their rider is falling could very well go /between/ and never come out due to the pain and panic. (see Leaf on the Wind again)

Greens do stop rising when they/their riders get older, but there's no fixed age. It generally depends on dragon and rider health.

I haven't rp'd since 88, 1988.  I would have love to import my character, but timiing it that far ...

You can reinvent your character. "What if they were born in this time instead?" It can be a very interesting exercise to see what changes and what stays the same. I've played a few alternate versions of N'vanik before, and even his original concept was "what if Sawyer from Lost was a dragonrider."

Hi! Welcome to Triad!

Very interested to see what's coming for Tavhei!

I love the whole Lightning Wing cohort but I'm going to go with Terella!

Nirian! Trapped with family obligations and yearning for so much more. Say the word and K'mai will whisk her off to the weyr!

Zaphare is so interesting!
