Wintergreen

Height: grows to 15cm
Healer use: Oil is absorbed easily through skin, and is an astrigent, diuretic, and stimulant. Externally it is used for muscle aches, particularly in foot balms and rheumatism treatments. Leaf tea is used to treat paralysis, headaches, aching muscles, and sore throats. The oil can irritate the skin and should only be applied by a healer, not the patient or a relative. Wintergreen should be avoided during pregnancy.
Cooking use: The oil is used to flavor candy and toothpaste.
