Rivergrains (rice)
Height: grows to 180cm
Locations: northern continent - Igen plains swampland; southern continent in any swampy place, wild in Paradise River
Other notes: Called rivergrains in the North, rice in the South
Healer use: Easy to digest, rice is often used for patients recovering from illness and stomach upsets, particularly children. Roots are used to treat fever, sprouts to relieve indigestion and strengthen the stomach.
Cooking use: Stems yield a rich oil. The "seeds" can be cooked in a variety of ways, and make a very filling additive to all meals. It can be fermented into rice wine (sake).
