I'd like to have Elona impress but not if she's going to be the only weyrling and without a WLM to interact with. I know there are AWLMs...

I think between D'kere and E'naer they give the Weyrlings a lot of interactions-- but thanks for the vote of confidence ;)

Unfortunately, with the amount of clutching Queens we have at Triad, sometimes there are solo Impressions. Sorry!

The 'seconds and 'thirds are just as important as the main WLMs, imho.

Oh don't get me wrong, I realise that. I'd just hate to have you have to write a whole impression post just for me. Ditto with the AWLMs.

If you choose not to Impress then I have to write a whole Impression post for no one, just a bunch of NPCs :) Impression post happens regardless of having active Candidates.

Really your situation doesn't change, right now there are no active Candidates at DFW for Elona to write with, so I don't see how much would change if she was the only PC Weyrling :)

It's unfortunate that this sometimes happens but you never know how things will work out. Not too long ago I started writing an NPC for one of the classes here and liked him so much I made T'lat into a pc. It could happen again.

I'd be happy to write posts with you as any of a number of Weyrlings!!
