Okay, okay. I'm trying to calm down enough to explain this coherently.
Nan Desu Kan, Denver's biggest and foremost anime/Japanese culture convention, sometimes takes panel ideas from attendees. It can relate to experiences in the anime/manga industry, or to Japanese culture. One year, we had Tony Oliver, a producer, director, and sometimes suit/voice actor for the "Power Rangers" franchise, and another year, we had a lady go into bunraku, Noh, and kabuki theater.
Since NDK is one of my favorite things in the world (it's the only vacation I get 'cause I be poor as hell), and I've attended since 2007, I took a chance a while ago and submitted an idea in which I'd host a panel telling Japanese fairy tales and stories about a Japanese folk hero who had ties to reality, his Honorable Honor Ooka Tadasuke, known as one of Japan's cleverest men. I mentioned I had antique books inherited from my paternal grandma, who lived in Okinawa for a while because her husband was in the armed forces.
AND TONIGHT I WAS TOLD MY IDEA WAS ACCEPTED!!!!
I was jumping up and down and hyperventilating and screaming into my hands and basically being a complete dork. I'm still feeling very shaky and giddily delighted and having to correct a ton of typos. I don't yet know what time or day the panel is, but I'll be given more info soon enough.
Omagawwwwwd, y'all, I CAN'T WAIT!
Oh wow, that's so cool!
Panels are fun! This is a big honor. I hope you have a great time.
OMG yes you did!!! That's amazing news! Congratulations! :D (on a side note, I'd totally go to that panel of yours - I love fairy tales. What a great topic to share!)
Congratulations!
Thanks y'all! It's about damn time I got some good news. I'm so nervous and excited and giddy and omagaaaawd! I'm really hoping I do all right.

Thanks y'all. I'll do my best (and yes, pocky will be had, especially if I can find my favorite kind ^n_n^).
I've been told my panel is on Saturday fourth in panel room four at four pm. That's the day that tends to get the most people. I might get a decent turnout. Eeeeeee. ^n_n^
Oh I just read this! Yay! That sounds like a really neat con. I would have said ganbatte but it sounds like it went well even without it. :)
