Our FacebookThe page is for both members and friends of Triadweyrs.org. It is meant to be another way for members to communicate with each other in a social way when they're unable to reach the site or the forums. Additionally it is an SEO* best practice as a way to share our site with the public and drive more traffic there.
- Joining is fully your choice. Just because you are a member of Triad Weyrs does not mean you have to have a Facebook page or join this group. The group is completely voluntary.
- You do not have to add all other Triad members as friends to your own personal Facebook page. So please do not feel pressured to do so. Your privacy on Facebook will be respected by all other members.
- You shall not message others privately on Facebook unless they have added you as their friend and previously approved such contact. (Ask them: Can I message you on Facebook?)
- Users who join the group will be able to see your page if you are a member of the group but only but only as a member of the public. So content you only share with friends and family will not be seen unless you add other members as your own personal friend.
- Any posts on the group site will show up on your personal page
- The Group is open. That means anyone can find the group and see who's in it. They can also see the groups posts but then still cannot see your
- You do not have to use your personal Facebook account to join. You may create one specifically for this purpose as long as it is identified by your Triad member name.
- We will be inviting Dragonriders of Pern Fans to join the group if they wish and hopefully we'll attract some new members to the club.
Keep in mind when you join a group:
- People may see when you join an public or closed group or that you're a member of that group, like in News Feed or search.
- When someone adds you to an public or closed group, others may see that you've been invited (ex: in News Feed or search). Once you visit a group you're invited to, you'll become a member and other people may see you joined.
- But remember: People who are not added as your personal friends will not see content posted on your personal site to your friends. But, All group members will see what you post to the group, and you will see everything other group members post to the group.
