The vacation is over and it's back to work. Here's sharing some things that happened during it.
Budapest is lovely city with full of history. We went to spa and had a short river cruise. Walked a lot around the town. People are friendly, food is good, wine cheap and nobody tried to rob us. :sunny:
After the Budapest we went up North, well, actually it's north-eastern part of Finland, where my hubby's relatives live. The highlight of that trip was a visit to a stable full of trotters. (Harness racing is very popular in Finland and hubby's aunt's husband owns two half's of horses. While there, one of the stallions decided to show off his....stallionhood. My daughter went all round-eyed and said: "Mom, he's got an elephant's trunk!" Me: "Honey, it's not a trunk...." :schockiert: The sights nature exposes to our innocent eyes....
For a birthday gift, hubby bought me a ring, a saphire with diamonds. Now I'm totally paranoid about something happening or me losing it. :love3:
That sounds awesome Paula, I'm glad you had such a great time!
that sounds absolutely wonderful. All of it. Well maybe except for explaining the elephant's trunk on the horse.
Glad you had a good vacation. And yay for shiney things. :)
Wow, sounds like a great trip! I'm glad you and the family had a good time. Re: the ring -- when I got my engagement ring I felt the exact same way, so much so that when I went travelling at the beginning of this year, I took along a 'fakie' engagement ring that is the tiniest thing you've ever seen. Much less worrysome that way! It sounds lovely though...
Glad you had a good time, and what a nice birthday present!
