It's nice to meet you all and I look forward to having lots of fun. I've been so impressed by all the stories on the website, I'm eager to make my own contributions. It's been a while since I read the Pern books, but I really loved them when I read them.
Some random factoids about me:
I'm a big fan of fanfiction. I play computer games and the most recent movie I saw in the theater was the new Dark Shadows movie, which was funny but not as good as I thought it would be. I enjoy both pie and cake as well as both dogs and cats. I have a horrible time making up my mind sometimes.
I have one adopted character so far, which still needs to be approved before I can start, if I understood what I read correctly. When it is, I'll be sure to let everyone know so I can jump in (which is the best way to get used to the water, IMO.)

I just discovered the rewards points information - how to gain them and, best of all, what to spend them on.
Personally, I can't wait until I've saved up 82 points so I can get an Other. That sounds so awesome! :cheers:

Seriously though, how are the forum ones done though? It says you get points for posting (which I've done), creating threads (which I've done) and joining the forums (which I've done) but I can't find where the points are tallied on the forums. Is it something I need to be keeping track of or is there a fancy behind the scenes counter?

Yeah I don't think we really count forum points anymore since with all the other things that are counted-it's simply hard to keep up with. I'm sure your member rewards for posts and such will add up quickly enough however. That's where most of us get the bulk of our rewards.

Either way, welcome to fold. I've got the healer at AHH who frequently hangs out with the vintners (Keayd mainly but hey) so there's posting there. Once I get my seacraft hall together and such though I'm considering making a charrie for the vintner hall so we'll see. I'll NPC though certainly. I also have charries at RBW where he has family.

I've got Daimhin over at AHH... who's sensibly fond of Vinter's for their useful skills but cannot resist picking up any and all info he can use for himself....so being naughty where he may here is could be rather annoying for the party concerned.
