Hello my fellow Triadians!
I know I've had a rough year this year as far as finding time for Triad, but I'm very hopeful that with the new year, things will have slowed down enough to finally do Sunstone justice and get it off the ground!
So, Morin has been confirmed by the Council as a Lord Holder, but there still is the business of Morin taking over officially as this is a brand new Hold on Pern! There will have to be some sort of celebration to mark it's beginnings and the signing of the Hold charter making it a Hold and Morin and his descendants (presumably) their Lords. Morin has decided that the celebration will be a 3-day one consisting of all sorts of events! Everyone is welcome - that means you L1s and L2s, and dragonriders, especially from RBW!
My image is that this would be much like a state/county fair, and exhibition, or a Japanese festival. I think all of the "common" people will be invited to showcase their talents with musical performances, dance, plays, or exhibitions of their skills and hobbies. Crafters can man stalls where you're all welcome to spend your marks! There will be boat races, fire works food stalls. And best off all - no work other than is necessary!
I will be announcing the roll play dates ASAP!
So if you already have a persona, would like to NPC a persona, or create/adopt a persona, all are welcome! Let your imagination run wild!
If anyone wants to brainstorm about celebrational activities with my new character at SSH, Parme, or perhaps one of her kids (who I could NPC), let me know :) I'm eager to write with her, she's awesome!
Parale will be there naturally, trying to keep the girls from getting lost. And Rhosyn's visiting along with E'rae.
Oh Eimi-I have an idea I'd like to speak to you about :)
Bryvin will of course be there helping and organizing. He'll even officiate at some of the events like boat races on the bay.
And Fymer will be there...probably loosing all his marks in the betting stalls or in the dragonpoker game. Anyone interested a posting about a card game?
if he wants dragonpoker with a rider, E'rae will take his marks :)
My new Sunstone beasthealer got approved, so Ramzen's around for fun threads, or if anyone's showing off/selling livestock or runners and wants to cripple any, he'll happily spring into professional mode :)
The dates are decided!
m5d28 - parade, main ceremony, feasting and music (music provided by the Harper Hall)
m6d1 - boat races, games, people's showcase (local groups with various performances), grand concert in conjunction with the Harper Hall, food and dancing
m6d2 - more local and Harper Hall performances, contests, games, dancing, and finale fireworks display
Of course, during the course of the three days, there will be a market set up with various stalls with goods and food, street performers, showcases... think county or state fair! There should be plenty of chances for people eat, drink, show off their various talents... Let your imagination run wild!
And Almonteo at the Harper Hall could use some posts with performers either PC or NPC practicing and playing at the event :)

The Council has agreed to extend m5 into February for Sunstone Seahold to allow for MAXIMUM posting time! So that means you have even MORE time to prepare for the event of a lifetime!

Awww.... Look how happy they all are! And why are they happy? Because they're running out and making personas and starting coposts in Sunstone Seahold! Don't you want to be happy too? :thumbright:
And Chelle, yes, there will be a control post for the actual event, so please hold onto your Inaugural posts until then, but everything leading up to the day is fair game!
Well, Eilomar and the harper hall choir would be performing, right?
