Hi!
Newbie to Triad here, though by no means to Pern, PBeMs, or roleplaying in general. I'm currently over in India, where my husband teaches at a private boarding school, so I'm inhaling Hindi as fast as I can get my tongue around it. I'm more than a wee bit of a language nerd, and if I could figure out how to get a linguistic anthropologist Harper, well... I would. ;) Currently to keep myself busy in real life, I'm knitting a sweater, and tutoring English as a second language.
Currently, I've adopted Bryndon at Vintner Hall, and will probably be creating a Holder for Emerald Falls, and a rider or Candidate for River Bluff (spreading my attentions out, as it were) and would be welcome to discussing ties and the like as I get settled in.
I look forward to playing with you all!
-Diya-
Hi Diya and Welcome.
I have journeyman Keayd in Vintner hall if you want a post.. (pretty please, he's been without posts so long!)
India, huh! We are pretty spread around the planet. Eimi in Japan, me in Finland, few members from England (Wales, sorry Len).
:bounce:
Hello!!
OOOH Zathris and Benani must take a visit to the Vintner Hall!! Or maybe the Tavern... Who's up for a party?
Seriously though it is GREAT to have you join us Diya. I am still building my suite of personna and am also fairly new. I look forward to writing with you from Southern California!
Welcome :-)
You say currently in India, where else have you been/where did you originate? I'm in Northern Virginia.
Looking forward to writing with you!
Oh so proud of my new mentee, making your way here! Whoo hoo :)
WELCOME!!!
Its sort of a mad place here, but you'll find everyone friendly and way, way, way too eager to snag you for plots and posts ROFL. But thats why we love it here !
Everyone be nice and copost with Diya until she's as mad as the rest of us...
A holder for EFH and candidates for RBW would be most welcome :)
Welcome to Triad! Pleased to make your acquaintance as it were. I'm Chelle, the run that usually ends up running crazy storylines. >.< So if you have a plot idea I can assist with, send it my way. And I'd love to copost but I have no one at AHH or the vintner hall, but I can do NPCs :)
Welcome Diya!!
I know I'm eager to post with you just as so many of the other members are! We love newbies!! I don't have anyone at the Vinter Hall...my that's maybe the ONLY place I don't have a character yet--ponders that--
Anyway, I'd be happy to have any one of my characters drop by to meet him though!
:sign2:
Welcome, Diya!
It's great to have fresh mea-- I mean, new people. ;)
You don't want to make a candidate for River Bluff ... you want to make one for Dolphin Cove. ;)

Born and raised in New England (CT), spent some time abroad in Germany, a year in Denmark (og jeg stadigvæk taler og skriver lidt dansk, fordi jeg har ikke glemmede den!), CT/MN for university, some time in Canada with my fiance, and then out to India now that the man and I got hitched and he got a job out here.
I rather feel as if "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" should be my themesong. For you whippersnappers who weren't kids when it was on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuzc4jgwlT8 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuzc4jgwlT8) (anyone else remember the game show? ;) )

Oh, fresh meat... sacrificial wherry... I know how it works. ;)
The concept I have in mind for EFF might actually be able to be recruited (somewhat against her will) for Dolphin Cove, but I'm still trying to sketch out her worldview. And as I slowly settle in, hopefully I'll get a persona in more than just three places (I've seen those banners!) but we'll see how it goes.
:)
i loved that show... You remind me of me when it comes to traveling :)
One of these days I will get to Denmark and Iceland.
I've been Denmark, twice and were are going there on holiday next summer!
Where in CT if you don't mind my asking? My folks used to live in Stamford. I visited a few times, really loved New London and Mystic! Hated their house in Stamford, though, but that's another story ;)
Hello fresh meat!!!!
Hey, there's no shame in being fresh meat. We'll all get to pick over you and find ways to get our sonas over to Vintner Hall.
I'm unfortunately headed overseas next week, so I'm not starting new posts at the moment, but I'll find you when I get back!
I've already written with you but I thought I should say "WELCOME" over here. :)
