Title: Watching it live
Post by: Paula on September 26, 2010, 10:27:10 PM
Last saturday evening our family (all four) went to wach Ice hockey.. on spot.. on live. It was Finnish National Legue's match. It was noisy and confusing. Lot's of penalties, not many goals, big guys making big piles in front of the goals... I missed the voice who in in TV tells you what the heck is going on.... My daugheter (6) was more interested in Cheerleaders than the game.
 :happy1:
And Jere Karalahti is actually very biig man!

That's what the one and only time I got to see the Welsh International Rugby team was like as well.  All these huge men (and one ickle Shane Williams) running about, crashing into one another, and everyone in the stands singing 'Cwm Rhondda' to urge them on.  The place was shaking from all the energy.

Love those photos!  Particully the one of the ref plastered to the wall.  LOL!  And the line of men with the puck in mid-air.  While we're on Finnish sports, how do the ski jumping boys look this season?  They looked pretty dimoralised last year.

Glad you enjoyed it :P

Now I'm off to ponder the headache of having Tiger Woods the Ryder Cup only a few miles down the road from us

Well at least you weren't battling the football traffic - Manchester City were playing Juventus tonight.  I stayed tucked up at home to watch it on TV.  I've got plans to meetfriends who live in South Manchester on Sunday - which means going near Old Trafford when there's a major rugby match going on....

If the weather was anything in Man like it was here, you were very smart indeed to stay put.  Our kitchen roof sounded like Niagra Falls coming down on it.  Good luck on Sun tho....

Paula, isn't Matti Hautamaeki injured?  I think I saw something about it....is Ahonen still as well?  Ah well, at least Kalle Keituri looked really good this summer.

my first hockey game ever was at the rink in Lulea. They played Dolly Partons 9 to 5 in one of the breaks. :) Not so crazy but very cold. My problem was the announcing was all in swedish and I didnt understand anything except goal, icing, and powerplay.
