Since summer is upon us and soon people will be vacationing and having fun in the sun, I thought it might be good to remind everyone to pack the sunscreen and USE it! Seriously, I went to the city pool the other day for just a few hours. It wasn't that warm outside, but the sun was shining and there were hardly any clouds. I didn't put any sunscreen on.
Guess what? I am now a lobster. *sigh* So to avoid the pain I am now in, please don't forget it. And make sure to get the waterproof kind. Everyone forgets to reapply the other stuff. And repeated sunburns can lead to skin cancer and other nasty stuff. A little protection can go a long way...
:sunny: is not your friend.
:cussing: says a short lobster.
A good point people - it's 24 degrees still at nearly 7pm in the UK. I'm using a moisturiser with SPF 15 in it as I'm inside most of the day, but proper lotion if I'm going to be outside any length of time. I don't tan, I go bright red, then it fades, so I use SPF 20 or higher.
We have a frost here this morning, but I'll keep your advice in mind if I go skiing. :smilebox:
Well, we had 27 C in weekend and despite having SPF 25 on my daughter, her shoulders got red. *sigh* Don't wear sleevless t-shirt in beginning of the summer either.
