I just read the new NPC rules and they make good sense. The new guidelines helped to answer some questions that I was having.
I can think of at least 3 NPCs that I have written that, according to the guidelines, should have sheets written up on them.
What if I do not plan on writing with that NPC anymore - at all. Do I still need to write up a sheet on that persona?
Nope. If you don't intend to write them, you don't need a persona sheet. However, if you think you might want to use them in the future, you could always make them an ANPC, which means someone can adopt them with your permission and make a PC out of them at some point.
I have a couple of characters (former PCs, now retired from general use) that I've kept on as ONPCs, but they don't have an active PC that they 'belong' to. I don't want them as PCs (I feel I have responsibilities to keep PCs active that I don't have toward ONPCs) and adoption isn't an option for me. Do I have to set them to 'inactive'?
Well, the only three in your sheet that seem to be unconnected to a PC at the moment are F'naren, Jh'slaen, and Tarehg. Looking back at them, all three were used more like PCs, so I think you would either need to set them to "inactive" or make them PCs. In F'naren and Jh'slaen's cases, though, you could make one of them PC and keep the other as an ONPC connected to them since their histories seem to be linked (but remember that would limit who that persona could post with).

They were all PCs when they were being posted with regularly.

Can we get a filter made up for our profile page that puts PCs in one list and our ONPCs in a separate list? My profile page looks like a disaster zone.
Sorry, but all of your personas will have to be put on the same page for now. It makes it easier to see them when they're all the same page, and it's never caused a problem before. If it isn't broke, it's just not on the priority list to fixed at this moment.
There are a few error messages coming through as I raise sheets for my NPCs (mainly around birth dates), but this is a new one:
QuoteError: Could not connect existing PCs to persona profile
Could not connect existing PCs to persona profile
Query was: insert into connect_personas values (NULL, '2009-04-19 03:13:51', NULL, 660, 468, 'Mother's Weyrmate')
And I haven't yet got a copy of her (Rilisa's) sheet so perhaps it didn't go through. :(
I haven't gotten a copy of it either, so it doesn't look like it's gone through yet. Let's give it a little time though since there have been quite a few sheets coming over.
What exactly are you trying to do when you get that error? Which sheet was it? Or is it for all of them?
It was Rilisa's sheet. I was hitting the second submit button. I see the sheet on on the website but I still never received a copy of it.
Got another one of these error messages (this time for Wirril's sheet):
QuoteError: Could not connect existing PCs to persona profile
Could not connect existing PCs to persona profile
Query was: insert into connect_personas values (NULL, '2009-04-27 19:56:43', NULL, 662, 659, 'Weyrmate's Son')
No copy of the sheet has turned up via email but I have
three copies of 'Wirril' on my profile page.
As well, most of the sheets have this error beside the birth date:
QuoteWarning: mktime() expects parameter 6 to be long, string given in /home/triad/public_html/classes/cl_persona.inc on line 610
Is it worth me carrying on with these sheets or should I wait until these problems are fixed? I'm going on LOA in the middle of May and would like to have them done before I go.
