I know we have lots of Mother's oput there in Triad land, so here's a happy mother's day to you all :)

Whenever I see an announcement like this, it takes me a few minutes to recover and remember that the US Mother's Day isn't until May and I haven't forgotten my own mom.
But Happy Mother's Day to all anyhow!

Why does the brit's have their mother's day so much earlier than the rest of us? Thank's and happy Enlish Mother's day!  :flower:

Because it's the day that traditionally the servants and apprentices were allowed as holiday to go and visit their mothers, so it became Mother's Day.

Normally we're more British than the British but we also share the US Mother's Day date.  Curious.

I guess commercialism beats out tradition ;)
