Title: Today
Post by: Amanda N on January 27, 2009, 04:30:06 PM
Well, we got hit with some ice today and they closed UNT.  This meant that Kurt got to stay home.  Good thing too.  I woke up with a pretty bad headache.  That in itself I could have dealt with, but then around 10 I suddenly just started feeling awful.  I have no idea why, it just hit me!  I would up going back to bed and sleeping until almost 1.30!

I'm feeling better, though this headache is still lingering.

So how's the weather where you all are?

Yesterday we had a sudden cold front go through.  A drop of 14 degrees (our kind of degrees) in temperature from the day before, with rain and a bitterly cold wind.  Apparently it was some sort of 24-hour weather bug because we're back to hot, settled weather today.

Snow today, ice expected tomorrow.
And cold, of course.

It's a high of 6 degrees C predicted today and wet, well so far as I can see as it is still dark outside. Long range forecast has us down below zero over the weekend and snow falling, but I'll believe that when I see it.

I'm rather enjoying having a real winter for a while. Past two winter's have been warm, wet and muddy. Kids are actually getting a change to ice skate and ski!

Warm, wet and muddy has become the norm here.  We keep having intermittent cold snaps where the temperature goes down below zero for a few days, but we don't necessarily get snow :(
