We're not going away but it's still up in the air whether we're hosting my brother and his famiy here for Christmas dinner or whether we're going to his place. We both live in the same city, though, along with my Dad, so it makes very little difference whose house it's at.
If it's here I'll get my brother to bring the barbecue around. :geek:
It's going to depend. It might just be the for of us (Kurt, the children, and me) or Kurt's cousin, her brother and her mother might come down. We're not sure yet. :}
I actually get to go somewhere this Christmas, but it means that I'll miss the Christmas Eve services at my church. The last three years I've served in the children's ministry during the numerous Christmas Eve services since I wasn't going out of town because I had to work.
This year is the first time in a while that I'll actually have time to go visit family. I am going with my parents and siblings to visit my dad's side of the family in Bristol, Ohio. I'm really looking forward to it.
It's going to be me going to my boyfriend's house, where there will be food and several of his relatives. I did that last Christmas too, and it made me happy. I think it will be a good Christmas. I will miss my family, but plane tickets at $500 plus $500 rent for January is just too much.
The usual: visit relatives (grandparents mostly), take a memory candle to the family grave. Watch kids tear open their gift and the listen their complains when they didn't get _everythigh_ they wished for.

Dec. 18 My daughter arrives from Korea
Dec. 21 My daughter arrives from Florida
I work Dec. 22, 23, 24, 26 (possibly reduced hours the 24th and 26th due to low enrollment)
Dec. 25, we'll be visiting family in Pennsylvania.
Dec. 28 My son returns to Orlando, FL, taking my daughter and I with him.
Jan. 3 My daughter and I return to Maryland
No real plans for what we'll do during the week in Florida, though we'll probably visit Downtown Disney and spend at least a day at Universal.
And though it's back to work for me, I still get to spend time with my daughter until her return to Korea on Jan. 18
I'm going home, to California. My grandma will also be coming for a bit, which will be wonderful. Christmas in my family is a time to sit around in pajamas all day, open presents, and eat. This year, my grandma flies in on Christmas day, which is a bit strange, but that might mean we'll get to open presents twice that day. It will also be fun seeing some high school friends who I hardly ever get to see. I'll be home December 19th-29th and then back in Ohio for New Years. Christmas is the one holiday that my parents absolutely insist I come home for, which is fine with me because they always pay for the plane ticket. ;)

I get out of school December 12th and have until the 12th of January before I have to be back. I plan to visit my High School, and my mom has some cleaning plans for me back home. It's going to be a mellow Christmas season all around, we rarely do big family things. So yeah.
Let's see.....
Finals are the week before Christmas, so it's going to be a very insanely busy month for me :p But despite school still being in session, Christmas celebrations will start next week, with a friend's Christmas Party! Then a huge group of us will be going to Disneyland (it's gorgeous with its Christmas decorations. I went 2 nights ago and the castle was dripping with white lights and icicles/icicle lights, Main Street was lit up with lights, Christmasy decorations, and all kinds of wreaths were strung everywhere :) And the Christmas fireworks display is absolutely beautiful....) the following week, and possibly the week after. On Christmas Day, the whole family will get together at my Grandparents' house and we'll eat delicious foods, play the Wii, watch Christmas movies and, of course, open presents.
Today, we got our Christmas tree! It's lovely and now my whole house smells like a pinewood forest.

We got our christmas tree today too! I'm all broken out since I'm allergic to pine trees, but it looks beautiful so it's worth it. :D

That's why I have an artificial tree -- I like real evergreens but I like breathing even more.
I usually wear longsleeves when I'm putting it up and decorating, but I forgot this year. I fortunatly don't have a problem with the air part, it's contact that breaks me out, so once it's up I usually don't have that many problems with it.
I'm slightly allergic, not enough to keep me from getting a real tree. :)
I'll be driving down 12 hrs to Florida since my mom's decided not to come up here for Christmas and my grandparents already left to go down there. I'll be there for a week then I return.
Usually we have a big dinner on Christmas Day with everyone (aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, parents, siblings, grandparents, etc.). Lots of good food to be had. This year, I anticipate not many presents coming my way since most, like my mom, may have decided just to buy for their own kids this year. Anyway, since I'm 23, I no longer count as a kid so bah humbug on that. :cussing:
Regardless, my mom has promised to give me money, take me shopping, and buy me a few things. So that'll be nice especially if I get some one on one time with her which is a rare thing.
We have a real tree in my house this year. It's weird because I've never had a real tree before because grandma doesn't like the mess and mom's kind of allergic. It's been making me sniffle, but at the same time it smells so pretty!

My youngest stepdaughter is the same. She loves the smell so much she just gets up every morning and takes hay fever meds until Christmas is over!

Tried that -- the tree still didn't sit well with the asthmatics in the house. Of course, it was even worse when we lived next to the tree farm.
