As some of you may know, I've left you all to join the circus... (or the publishing industry, I can never remember which) and my absence has made it a bit hard on everyone since I hold within my brain the knowledge of how the back-end of our website works. :D Emma has been hoping to learn this, but keeping up with you guys as a timeliner is HARD work!
However, Jane and Vix have stepped up to take some of the load off of all of our shoulders. Starting right now, Jane and Vix are Triad's new Area Managers. As listed on the council page: "The area managers are in charge of updating the website and managing weather, flights, threadfall and timeline duties for the areas under their supervision. If you have questions about the calendar any of the areas, contact the correct Area Manager."
From now on, if you have questions about the Triad Weyrs calendar, threadfall, flights, weather, events or your stories, you have two talented and prompt people who will be happy to answer your questions and help you with problems. :D They have learned the inner workings of the website in record time, and are already hard at work making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.
We've divided up the areas, so who you need to talk to depends on which area you're dealing with.
Vix's Areas: DFW, AH, AH-VH, RBW, GVH & SH
Jane's Areas: DCW, EFH, HH, DH & SWE
If you ever forget, those are also listed on the Council Page: http://www.triadweyrs.org/council.php (http://www.triadweyrs.org/council.php)
Everyone give them a hearty round of applause, and while you're at it give your poor Council a big cheer, too. They've worked hard to try to pick up the slack after I joined the circus, and it can be a pretty rough, tireless and thankless job. Luckily for them, Vix and Jane are here to save the day. :D
Drinks are on me!
Congrats you two!
*shakes head* You don't know what you've let yourselves in for. LOL
Then again, you two are the most organised people I know.
Good luck!

Lists! I get to play with lists! It's a dream come true. :geek:
That may be your idea of heaven, hun, but its not mine. LOL
Now a free stationery store.... hmmm...my idea of heaven. ;)

Actually, I did know though I had not seen the most recent database features.
And I've always found these type of admin duties to be relaxing.

Then this my-new-favourite-smiley is probably just the thing for you, too! :geek: His name is 'geek'.

But to me he doesn't look like a 'geek.' Whatever is on his head looks more like what a tribesman would wear while standing next to a large kettle and stewing up a batch of tourists.

**considers** That also works for me! :geek: :geek:
Congrats you two!
Heaven..Hm. That would be me having enough money to buy all the fabric I want! :-D
Oi! You lot! Where are the last-minute meeting-requirements posts?
Every other month there have been heaps.
This month, when I'm standing by to show you just how efficient I am, ... nothing!
Not a sausage.

Truly -- a lone post entered my inbox on the 30th and I figured "wait a bit for the dozen or more that will join it." Nothing.
Is everyone else LIA/LOA?
