Yah, um, like the title says I'm all brand new and shiny... Um, what can I say... In 'real life' I'm a 22 year old female from England (Cambridgeshire), just finished a degree and meant to be getting a full time job soon... don't know what I want to do, just going to float for a couple of years and try and figure it out...
I don't have any characters on Triad yet, I am just debating my first... however I'm not sure what I want... a candidate sooner or later, and I wouldn't mind a runner beast trainer... I was toying with combining the two (because I want the runner trainer to be female, and so the whole 'being searched as a candidate' would provide an excuse for her to escape the "get married have babies" life)...
Still not at all sure though, so if anyone has any suggestions of characters they'd like to see let me know, I'm comfortable writing most types of female characters... and while I suck at ranking male riders, I'm happy with green/blue riders... not tried a male holder-type before though...
Welcome (AGAIN!) Glad you made it to the forums at last! Sorry that it took so long :)
Another Englander! Emma, do you live close to Amy? (Okay, so I'm showing my ignorance of England-type places)
Triad is a great place to call home, so get comfortable and stay awhile :)
Hi Amy!
Clancey - Cambridge itself is about 4 hours south and east of Manchester, or at least that's how long it would take me to drive there assuming the price of petrol drops enough to allow me to go anywhere ;)
She's probably not far from Kastaka, she's in Cambridge itself.
Welcome to Triad, Amy!
I'm north Cambridgeshire... so Cambridge (and Kastaka?) is about an hour south of me, Manchester about three hours north west.
Thank you for the welcomes everyone, =)
I was wondering when I'd see you in the forums ;) Welcome!
We had some delay with the account activating
Anyways, anyone have any thoughts on my first character...
Welcome, Amy!
As to first character, if you're not sure, write NPCs to help other members with their posts.
I wrote as many NPCs while lurking as I normally write with my approved personas.
Oh oh oh! A new person! Post with me first! ME FIRST!!!!
WELCOME! :)
Well now, I think it all depends on what kind of personas you like to write, Amy. Do you like challenging personas, happy personas? Goodies? Badies? Do you like happy endings or do you like building up your personas just to rip apart their souls?
Watch out for Eimi. She will rip out your characters' souls for you!

So I guess that makes you a country girl then ;) I grew up in East Yorkshire in an area now made (in)famous by a certain ex Shadow Home Secretary. I've ended up crossing to the 'wrong side' of the Pennines for work

I have helped you by highlighting that which is the speciality of Eimi and that which is my area of expertise.
Now, who do you want advice from?
Whaaaaaat? *innocent look* I don't RIP OUT my personas souls... I might rip out OTHER people's personas souls from time to time...

Let that be a warning to you! :lachtot:
Haha... all of the above?
Honestly, I like nice characters, not-so-nice individuals... happy endings are good, but it equally fun to torture characters too... I do like a bit of everything really. :laughing6:
I'm working on my 'stablehand'/candidate still, but she's changing every five minutes (she started out practical, then she turned hyper, then sorta depressed... currently she's kinda... *shrug* um, a bit of all three, with a big dose of 'extravagant' dressing too... O.o)
Oh, and I do have a question... Are forum marks linked to the marks on the game at all, and if so how...? If not, do they serve a different purpose?
EDIT: Oh and Emma, not soo much of a country girl... I'm in a largish town, just outside Peterborough... not the largest city, but it's not tiny either... and I've spent a fair bit of my time in London too (divorced parents, you have to love 'em...)
Forum marks are used for the same purpose as website marks -- if you purchase something that requires more than what is in your website account, marks will be deducted from your forum account.
I should have let Jane answer that -- she may place nice with her personas, but she's ruthless when it comes to marks.
Right now, I have more marks than she does Vix! :-D
I can do torture! I love torture! I also love happy. Pick me!
Ah, okay, thank you. That makes it nice and clear... =) I searched all over, but couldn't find an answer (it was blatantly staring me right in the face I'm sure).
Anyways, my first persona is submitted. Fingers crossed and all that. (I think she's going to be /fun/)
So I get to post with you first? :-D
Yes, you get to post with me first *pets Amanda on the head*.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEE! Hahahahaha! I get to post with her first! YAY!
Lol. Welcome to the madhouse Amy! I promise we don't all bite.
At least not at first... :D
Quote from: "Amanda N"Right now, I have more marks than she does Vix! :-D
You have more than me because I
spend marks nearly as fast as I make them. I've spent 5185 marks and still have 1719 left.
Some of you are just hoarders!
I'm not hoarding -- I'm just indecisive.
Welcome Amy :)
Thanks again everyone...
And I expect I will be one of those who goes through a phase of spending (couple of things I'd like... sooner or later... firelizard(s) for example) but once I have the things I want the points will just add up and add up and so on I expect... it's a cool looking system though.
(And Cali, I love your signature. SGA <3. (My fav. show in the world I think, =D)
Oh yes, all things stargate are my obsessions. And if you're the peeking sort, the season 5 Atlantis premiere got leaked onto the net a few days ago. I downloaded it last night and plan on viewing it when I get home. It's a rough cut so I hear (not all effects done and such) but I'll take it until it airs on SciFi!
Welcome to Triad, Amy!
Welcome welcome! :)
