Title: Ho w many?
Post by: Amanda N on May 11, 2008, 09:04:31 AM
I just submitted yet ANOTHER persona.  MUWAHAHAHA!

So, I originally said I'd stop at 3.  Then I extended to 5.  Then 7. Now I'm thinking I'd better cap myself at 10 and really no more than ten.

How many characters did you originally intend to stop at?

How many do you have now?

Do you have an ultimate cap that you will _not_  go beyond?

I have 13 here but some are up for review as I'm not feeling very connected with them.  I keep records of how many posts each one gets a month and after a while with low posting I consider making them ONPCs (for whom I don't feel I *should* post each month) or get completely retired.

I have two other full-time characters in the offing but if I do get either of them I'll definitely retire somebody.

I think I at one time had 32 but now I'm down to 26.  I have plans to get rid of a few of those...  I also have plans to make a few more...

I never really had an intended cap.  It was always pretty much whoever I felt attached to/had sl active with.  I probably have too many now, but I like to have someone at every location, which I currently have except for the Dolphin Hall (hmmm which will eventually need to rectified!).

There are a few rankers I'd like to offload, but most of them I made to fill a position because no one else wanted them and someone was needed.  If we ever come to the day where all our ranks are filled and people are knocking down the Council's door asking for more to be opened up, I will be a happy woman ;)

I believe I've had somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 characters in my most recent tenure at Triad.  ;)

They weren't all active at once, but I did get up to 45 at one point.  That's generally when I had to thin the herd a bit.

I've got ADD.  I can't help it.  :D

You have ADD Bree?

I have ADHD!  See, I'm worse than you. :-D

Ladies, ladies, please, it's not a competition... ;)

Oh Eimi, don't you know it's ALWAYS a competition?

I'm in the 98th percentile for ADD AND Hyperactivity.  IE, Only 2% of the population with the disorder are worse than me.  HAH!

Oh yeah?  Well.... yeah, I don't know if I can beat that....

I also grew up with a mother who probably has it as well.  And one of my closest friends has it (and is as high on the percentile scale as me, if not worse).  His brother has ADD, but no hyperactivity.  Um.  Shall I continue? :)

You know, I'd say that since your friend isn't a blood relative it doesn't count, but actually, I don't think there are any RULES here... such is randomness XD

When I was in high school, I want to say that I had 10 or so.  :)  But the list has obviously thinned a bit due to less free time because of college and work.

I'm so ADD I forgot where this website was and have been lost in wikipedia for the past 2 hours.

And watching Ugly Betty.  :D

Wikipedia is so dangerous, I just wander blindly around clicking links and then it's 2 hours later and I know everything there is to know about Jellyfish and really I was looking up information on El Paso, Texas, and I never know WHY.

Oh, wikipedia.  I have such a love-hate relationship with you.

Bree, you sound exactly like me! *G*

Dana...college does that to you.  I feel your pain!

Can we have a competition that doesn't involve deep emotional pain?  LOL  I'm going to lose this one by default because I only tell Eimi and my therapist all of my real problems.  ;)

Poor Eimi.  :D

Well, we could go for physical pain if you like.

I seem to have lots of problems.  Just ask my hubby. :-D

LOL!

Nah, you can win if you like.  :D

Besides, I have a feeling anyone who has actually given birth already has a head start on a competition for pain ;)

I have nearing 10 by now, but I'm thinking of thinning them a little. If every persona who begged to be made was made, I'd have at least 30, I think. o.o

I fail again!  What's wrong with me?  No allergies, no A-whatever-whatevers, and certainly not hyperactive.

I mentioned to a friend in social service once that I appear to work with several people who are ADD/ADHD. She replied that she knew many of the employees of that place and that she thought it was a prerequisite of being hired by my company.

And you think Triad (or pbems in general) are like that? :lachtot:

Lovely, I'm surrounded by hyper-active people with short attention span. Well, that may explain thing or two. (Like why I have over 200 unread triad-posts in my inbox) *groan*
