I use to hate getting my picture taken too, but once Matt got his new camera and was persistant with the pictures I got use to it.

I love taking pictures too, especially of my cats. Nikki is horrible with the camera and her pictures normally come out funny, but Kizzie...
Kizzie is really photogenic :) But she's always cute so it's to be expected that the camera would love her.

Who knows? I have yet to see the photo. The only person-photo I have from that trip is Donna in the Spam-a-Lot cutaway. I assume the picture was taken after we had been kicked out of NYC's public library and before we were almost kicked out of St. Patrick's cathedral.

It's actually a very simple story: Donna had just bought a cup of coffee in Bryant Park and refused to give it up. She argued that she could leave it at the security post but they wanted her to pour it out, she refused, so we were effectively kicked out of the library.
On the way to the cathedral, we stopped off at Grand Central Station and met up with Yvonne and AJ. As we walked northward, we were stopped and made to listen to a 2-minute spiel for a local bank and given ice cream bars for our time. We arrived at St. Patrick's with all of us having finished -- except Donna. We chided her that she needed to finish or we'd be kicked out of there as well.
Wow, our libraries here in Portland aren't nearly that strict about coffee. But then again we're pretty laid back here about everything.
I think that was a pretty poor way to treat people. I mean, you at least offered to leave it at the security station. :-/

I like a few of his songs, but my sister is a much bigger fan. My favorites are the Newsboys, whom I'll be seeing on April 5th!! and Matthew West.
I got to see the Newsboys in concert a few years ago. They do a great show! They were part of an anniversary concert that was put on by a Houston Christian radio station. They had something like 20 acts there, the Newsboys were one of them. Needless to say, it was a LONG concert, but a lot of fun.

Wow... I saw the Newsboys... 9 years ago! At Creationfest '99 up at the Gorge. But my two favorite bands that weekend were Jars of Clay and Burlap to Cashmere (which only unfortunately put out one album but they were AWESOME). Oh and Five Iron Frenzy. And Jennifer Knapp. Ok, the whole weekend was awesome.
And we got to see the world premier of "Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed" up on the jumbotron.

The first time I ever heard their music was when I was heading up to Canada for a Youth Group trip. On the ferry over, one of the music leaders, Jeremy, was playing some of the music quietly with several other people on the deck. I loved the music, and later he let me barrow a copy of the CD. I was really impressed.
I seem to be leaning more toward contemporary music...must come with age, lol. But I still like some of the songs from artists like Toby Mac and Pillar.
I just received Matthew West's new CD as an Easter gift, so I've been listening to it almost nonstop all weekend.

Okay, so being lactose-intolerant, I can't have coffee real ice cream. Turtle Mountain's non-dairy ice creams have a Mocha Almond Fudge though which is coffee base, almond nuts, and ribbons of dark chocolate fudge. It's heaven. Better yet, my partner AND our friends all eat it and say it's just as good as real ice cream!

I can honestly say I gave coffee a try, but I did not like it. And now after all the studies they have conducted I'm glad I don't drink it.
They have found that coffee is horrible for your wake up cycle. People who drink coffee on a regular bases become so dependent on coffee that they have to drink coffee in order to function as well as someone who does not drink coffee in the morning. Your mind begins to depend on coffee in order to start functioning in the morning.
Speaking of coffee, mine has stopped brewing and I can finally start sipping. . .
Two of the constant loves in my life are coffee and chocolate -- not necessarily in that order, since at different times one outweighs the other in my "needs."
However, no matter how much I enjoy each, including in various combinations and products, I detest chocolate-covered coffee beans.

Well, your body gets accustomed to the caffine, so I don't really think its the coffee you come to depend on, its the ritual of it. Its brushing your teeth in the morning, or putting on your deoderant, brushing your hair... If you miss a step you feel like you've start out the day wrong. I think its the same thing with people who drink coffee habitually in the morning. You missed something and your mind knows it. Its a superstitious behavior, like a baseball player wearing the same socks every game. You drink coffee not for the caffine but because you've already convinced yourself that you can't succeed in the day without it. You could become equally dependant on water if you started every morning off with a glass and then one day forget it.
As to how I can drink coffee, I'm totally with you on the bitter part. I can't drink black coffee (my Scandinavian ancestors are gasping). I also can't drink hot coffee (my Scandinavian ancestors are disowning me). I need mine with lots of milk. Or even better, Coffeemate. Cinnamon Vanilla Coffeemate. YUM...
Caffeine isn't good for you though. It can even raise your blood pressure. I gave up caffeine in 1997. I get a little from chocolate, but chocolate has less caffeine than decaffeinated coffee.
I'm a friend of tea myself. Can't stand ordinary cafe. (Cappucino's and mocha's I can drink). I like japanese green tea very much. And I am a scandinavian!
I actually have two pet bottles of tea on my table next to me right now - one green tea and one oolong. Did you know that all tea comes from the same plant? The only difference between green tea, oolong, and black tea is how much water is evaporated out of it after picking? Apparently the reason Europe got hooked on black tea was because that was the only tea that could survive the voyage and still be drinkable.

I love tea. I don't drink it as much as I used to. I make sure to get the tea without caffeine though. :)
I'm not a big coffee or tea drinker, but I do have an addiction to diet soda that is impossible to break.
I used to drink soda a lot. Then a coworker (I did actually have a job outside of the home once upon a time) got a bad kidney infection and had to be hospitalized. Evidently, he never drank water, only soda. This sort of spurred me to drink water. Now I rarely drink soda. Maybe once a month or every other month.
