Title: I don't wanna go.
Post by: Amanda N on March 20, 2008, 10:36:42 AM
So for as long as I can remember, I've needed at least 8 hours of sleep.  In fact, most of the time, I could sleep 10 hours or more.

Finally, my doctor (I just transferred to him) recommended a sleep study.  So, I'm going to that tonight.  I don't relaly want to go.  I don't want to have sleep apnea, but I guess it's better to know and do something to correct it than to keep dealing with it.

Funny thing is, I started going to a chiropractor last week and have been sleeping better since.  Well, I guess we'll see what happens.

*sniff*  I'll miss all the coposters that send posts during my night time.  *cry*

You go to your sleep study!  It's very important to know.

Triad won't sneak away in the night because you're not here to keep an eye on us!

:skeptisch: Not unless there's a plan I don't know about.

It's more of I'd rather sleep in my own bed with my own pillows with my own husband.  :-)

This is a way to make sure you get to do that for many years to come.  Good luck!

Awww, don't worry about it Amanda!  Sleep Apnea is the IT medical condition to have!  Its like ADD in the 90s!  All the cool people have it  :glasses7:

I wish I had sleep apnea. *sniffles* Then I could be cool, too.

You'll do fine, Amanda, and you're right - it is better to suck it up for a night and know so that you can do something about it, then it is to just suffer with a problem. *hugs* And I don't think anybody, anywhere actually wants to have to sleep a night in a lab while being monitered. It's kind of creepy.

FOrtunately, the tech who monitered me was female.  They don't actually watch you, they just have sensors hooked up to you and watch signals from those.  I didn't sleep well at all.  Kind of hard when you're hooked up to all this wiring.

The tech said I didn't stop breathing, but I guess I will wait to see what the official results were.  Unfortunately, I have a cold so that didn't help matters.  Blech.

Anywho, I guess it could have been worse.  The tech could have been male! *shiver*
