Post by: Jane on October 13, 2007, 10:08:53 AM
This is a wonderful article by Scott Westerfeld (of Midnighters and and Peeps fame).

Ghost Writing (http://www.scottwesterfeld.com/author/rants/ghost.htm)[/list]
Food for thought!

Huh - that is interesting! What an odd job to have. I'm not sure that I'd like it.

I have a friend who does ghostwriting.   Of course, I can't tell you the details because then it wouldn't be ghostly. ;)

QuoteAs a rule, the most "prolific" authors are the most detached. I've written five books for one man ...
This was an eye-opener for me.  FIVE books for the one person?  What the heck does the 'author' do during the day, then, other than answer fan mail about books they didn't write?

Great site to go read, and very interesting occupation.  Good to see that he doesn't just ghostwrite, though.  Couldn't think of anything more depressing than solely writing for others.

I liked the last sentence of two, too.  LOL
