Title: What if Triad had a soundtrack?
Post by: Patrick on June 01, 2007, 05:48:31 AM
I was riding the bus to school the other day, listening to my MP3 player and I heard one of my favorite songs and a thought just popped into my head.  "This song is PERFECT for Traelyn/B'ram"  I thought to myself.  So I decided right then and there to tell you all this wonderful story and ask you all a question:

What would be on the Triad Weyrs Soundtrack?

The one that I found was:

Say (http://www.thecorrswebsite.com/index2.htm)by The Corrs (http://www.thecorrswebsite.com/index2.htm)

For Traelyn when she pines over B'ram.  Anyone else got any songs that would go on the soundtrack?

I don't really think about the whole soundtrack think with Triad, although to be honest some of my other characters have them *blush*. Especially one couple that wound up with their entire romance set to Celine Dion songs...

My primary problem is that I don't really like applying soundtracks to other people's characters. But I did think of one immediately for Eleada. All By Myself, by Celine Dion (Guess what I'm listening too  :geek: ) for when she's feeling particularly lonely, and It's my Life, by Bon Jovi, when she's being the strong one.

Wow, Patrick, I'm touched :D  That's one I hadn't heard yet!

Man, don't get Dana started, she has a whole list of Trae/B'ram songs!  My favorite is "Freak on a Leash" by Korn (the live version featuring Amy Lee)...  And "Again" by John Legend...  And "Another Again" ny John Legend...  man, I have no life....

Thank you, Patrick!  I'm touched too  :)   And oh dudes  :D  I have a long list-in-progress for Trae/B'ram.  Eimi's helping me, of course...

Hmm....let's see....  "Ice" by Sarah Mclachlan is another one for T/B, as well as "Take Me Away" by Avril Lavigne....

Nope! J'darin would be "Opened the Door" by Journey.  It reminds him of  Maurgen.

Also, "Its a Kind of Magic" by Queen.

I bet I can come up with LOTS of other songs.  My life is painted in  music even though I haven't got the gifts.

great idea Patrick!

I was listening to my strange collection of tunes, and a few more  jumped out at me. Specifically The Edge of the Water, by Jars of Clay, for R'masu and R'syl when they were drinking to the memories of their lost loves in the tavern.

And I'll take a stab at a few other people's personas even though my tastes are pretty eclectic..

The Hardest Thing, by 98 degrees, for Thalia and Penryn whenever they let their positions get in the way of their relationship and feelings.

And

Sad Eyes, by Enrique Inglesias, for Talryne and N'vanik when he's trying to make her feel better.

I had another strike when I was listening to a new song in my room last night.

"Hold On" by the Jonas Brothers for Talryne.  The mentions of not giving up after loosing someone you love, finding new purpose in your life, it sounds just like Talryne's journey to find herself again after becoming dragonless.

You know, "Hero" from the first Spiderman soundtrack reminds me of dragonriders :D

For a while, Hinder's "Better Than Me" reminded me of Trae and N'vanik.

When I hear "Broken" (Seether/Amy Lee) it reminds me of N'vanik and Tal.

"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing"  by Aerosmith reminds me of D'ren and Dysali.
