Title: Hey There and Hello
Post by: Ainsley on April 19, 2007, 04:27:13 PM
Hiya,

I saw Jane's note about new members in the "Sharing Fun and Silliness" forum and that prompted me to come introduce myself, though I would not have minded being pounced on at all.  Having dogs and kids I quite familiar with that kind of welcome.

I'm brand new with triad, though I will admit to lurking now and again over the years.  I finally decided it looked like just too much fun, and of all the places that I have lurked, this was the most enticing.

I love writing, but have never done so in this type of forum, so this should be quite the adventure.

I have several character ideas but there are three top running and I'm fleshing them out to decide who merits being submitted first.  Bit of a shin dig to attend tonight so I anticipate submitting my first persona tomorrow.

I'm always open to suggestions though if someone's looking for something in particular....

I look forward to getting started and posting with you all!

Welcome to our little corner of Pern.

Come and visit The Tavern at Vintner Hall.  First drink is on the house.

Hello! Welcome to Triad :) I hope you love it here!

If you're looking for a Holder or (male) Crafter, Garnet Valley Hold needs people!

Welcome Ainsley! :)  Thats a very cool name.

I hope you enjoy your stay here and come to all us loonies your extended Pern family.

Once the hurricane is done at DCW, look me up for coposting fun!  or else jump in at the Weyr - they've just been blown nearly off the map! LOL

Welcome, Ainsley! I'm still trying to establish a list of characters and have several in mind, so I can understand the "which do I do first" attitude. Of course, more and more will keep popping into your head!

Hmmm.... Tavern?  Wine is a GOOD thing and ale is not bad either... not to mention Tavern's are great places to meet interesting folk.  One of the characters I've been seriously considering would be at Amber Hills so if that works out, I'll definitely take you up on that drink!

And I have characters at both the Hold and the Tavern, so I'd gladly copost with you!

I rather think I WILL love it here!  Thanks for the welcome.

I can't resist an invitation so I looked up GVH.  Travesty of travesties you don't have a healer!  Shuffle, shuffle bump.

Okay now I have four top runners for my first character.  I really want to write a healer!  Thanks again for the welcome.

Clancey:  "Welcome Ainsley! :)  Thats a very cool name."

Thanks!  I've always liked it!  Every once in awhile I thought my folks overdid it with the middle name (Adelle) but overall...no complaints.

Wooohooo! Someone else who will make healers!! (Not that I have 10 of them or anything! :D)

Welcome, welcome! I already welcomed you, but it doesn't hurt to do it again! I'm glad you came in intro'd yourself!

Yes, they're coming out of the woodwork already!  I'm beginning to think this could become addictive.  You do have a twelve step program or equivalent for Triad addicts right!  Or at the very least a support group...Oh wait that's what this forum is - right?

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to Triad, Ainsely!

And about that twelve step programme ...  That only works when people really want to recover, right?

Anybody here ready to go into a programme yet?

I thought not.

Highya Ainsley!  Its nice to see you here.  If your interested in FEMALE crafters come to the Dolphin Hall.  What more could you ask for?  A Post Traumatic stress victim of a Hallsecond and a Hallmaster who just lost his only son to the Weyr and the Journeyman he thought of as a son to a vicious murder.  Doesn't that sound fun?  :cheese:

I'm not self promoting or ANYTHING... But really, Welcome to Triad!  Its always great to see new victi-I mean members.  :geek:

Again for real this time, Welcome to Triad.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!  I plan on taking each and everyone of you up on your offers to copost.

Paula, I live in the US, southern Idaho ~ anyone like skiing, rafting, fishing, or hiking?  Lots of outdoor activities here.  It's fun to see such an eclectic group with representatives from so many places.  I love that!  I have often wished I would have minored in international studies back in the day...guess that self study is an even better option.

Patrick, I think I mentioned earlier that I have a hard time turning down an invitation so I will look up the Dolphin Hall ~ sounds like fun.  Probably won't be the first person that I submit, but I will absolutely consider it for upcoming characters.

Thanks again to everyone now I'll scurry off and polish up that sona sheet so that I can get started sooner than later!

I'll be late for my own funeral, then again, they always say better late than never.

But - I had to pop in and say G'day and Welcome!

I have NPC's at almost all Holds, Halls and Weyrs, but just in case I don't, let me know where and when you want a post, and I'll be there!

I have two PC's, one at DFW and one at AHH.  And way too many NPC's who want to be PC'd, so I know exactly where you're coming from with the decisions.

Anyway, once again - WELCOME!

I know you'll have a ball - I do and I know its addictive.

*hugs*
Kaysea :)

Okay-I'm blind!  There IS a healer at GVH.  Kate has Kaefan there.  Sorry Kate, don't know how I missed him.

The usefulness of having somebody to copost with because they have location and craft in common should never be under-rated!

:boxing:  We may have to fight over the new writers, Vix.

But in this case I'm sure Ainsley can multi-task.

Well...Having read a bit here on the forums...

NO defintely NOT.  You do NOT seem like the type of guy to renege on a free drink.  I mean if you are to properly corrupt and "scoundralize" me (me being a newbie and all) than I really think at least a free drink would be in order!  And a copost!  So I shall send you a start!

No, I think it shows a very generous nature - I mean you obviously want to do your part to see that I fit in and thus I must be adequately corrupted right?
